  1. If the same physic engine is used as united independent entertainment's games it will be a sure winner.
  2. Just because something is distributed through steam doesn’t make it mandatory to require that steam is actually running to use the application this is left to the developer to decide.
  3. I have purchased every CS suite released and also multiple licenses but refuse to support Adobes subscription policy. Perpetual license or no sale.
  4. I have a clevo i use for presentations and travel, most re-sellers let you pick components so its easy to build something to a budget.
  5. Highly recommend checking out the alternatives before throwing any money at Autodesk.
  6. What you’re trying to do is called retargeting, I have no experience with this in blender so you will need to find a tutorial online to show how it’s done. To be honest it’s a PITA in any 3d modeling application.
  7. Upping the ambient light intensity would give you a better representation of how it should look in game currently. I’m not a v3 user so I’m not sure what shaders ship with the current release of the engine.
  8. That first image looks like it’s using an imaged based lighting, I don’t believe this is support by the engine at present.
  9. Been working with substance for a long time now, it would be a great addition to the engine.
  10. I recognize the benefits of steam, but for me bandwidth is too expensive to have steam dictate when and how I use it. Should they remove forced updates and not block access to non-updated software it will remain a negative.
  11. Third party support would be fantastic! You're reliance on steam is frustrating.

    something like this would work.
  13. Good luck with your project, site below is a good source of textures you might find useful to get you started for a modest sum and a few free ones as well. gametextures.com
  14. I first started working with L3DT but moved to WM after a project I worked on was using it. WM is not going to export trees and rivers for you but it will help you make the most realistic terrains possible using heightmaps.
  15. Take a look at world machine my tool of choice, The free version will get you started.
  16. I have no issues exporting smoothing groups, unfortunately I can’t give you any feedback when used in LE.
  17. Thanks! need for adobe alternatives has never been greater.
  18. Congratulations, you will learn a lot working for them. Only company to make me an emotional wreck on a playthrough.
  19. I would have thought with automatic reloading of assets most would not bother with bsp editing? This feature is basically plugging your 3d editor of choice directly into le, unless of course this feature doesn’t work in the manner I’m familiar with? I have not used le 3.
  20. Legend of Grimrock, pain in the *** to play with out a map.
  21. Welcome from Sydney area myself. Post about other engines have a habit of spontaneously combusting,
  22. I'm sure his aware of your models Michael, but this is ChrisV's showcase.
  23. From what you have posted i think a subtle animation of the logos glow might be a good area to explore. For example you could create a few different variations in colour and intensity and slowly blend between them. csshat.com is a nice example of this.
