  2. Did you bump your head climbing to the second story? It sure is disappointing when you come across such issues. I personally have put together a great list of average sizes, be it a door size, street width, ceiling height, brick size, height of a cat the list is always growing for every project I take on. It’s a same so many ignore the importance of such details.

  7. Exclude bones and animation from fbx when you export it for static objects, in the editor you add a script to your object require("scripts/class") local class=CreateClass(...) this will give your collision options

Playing with the contrast may alter the colour values, for Photoshop try duplicating the image and combine it in overlay mode through the layers pallet, you can also edit the opacity of the layer to control the amount then flatten the image when done. I’m sure gimp would provide a similar process. edit( i'm talking about editing the normal map here, not the image before making the normal map. the above method is good as you can add different levels to the normal eg a some bricks extrude out further than others)
  11. Photoshop, but 90% of my materials and textures now days are procedural, created in substance designer.

  13. For 3 try deleting the history and then freeze transformations before you export. Edit -> Delete All By Type -> History Then select the object and use Modify -> Freeze Transformations im guessing its still done like this in newer versions of maya
  14. That doesn’t surprise me, I think it all comes down to application cost, my guess the majority of mobile game would be cocos2d, Gideros or Corona.   16. I’m not denying the fact that we all will see improvements in time, just find odd the order of priority. No one purchased le2 to make mobile games.

Benton im sure most where under the impression le3 was to improve on le2 , it has nothing to do with graphics but more about improved features such as scene management, networking, physics, streaming terrain, prefab support, etc. etc. features requested by the community. Basically anyone with a current project has been ignored.
  18. Thanks for this great set of tutorials I am finding them very enjoyable. I recently did a series of game assets for a project using only procedural textures it’s a really exciting way to work.
  19. Benton perhaps if you watched the development of le3 for close to 2 years you would be a little disappointed to find there is no immediate benefit to your current project. If I was interested in developing a mobile game I would have never purchased le2.
  20. Seems leadwerks is more interested new users than existing ones. When asked 70% of users where interested in developing for the desktop market. Can’t say I’m excited about the new release, was mostly interested in the work flow improvements such as asset updating, undo and object scaling.
  21. This tool would be great for pose to pose, not so good for straight animation, I’m sure the anime studios will jump on this. I won’t replace my wooden one anytime soon.
