  1. why i was programming in c++ then ? You can use c++, but It's not officialy supported, but everything works.
  2. or you should include only headers, which you really need. Sometimes, when you change one header, it have to compile all other affected headers and sources. You can try add few preprocessors like: #ifndef MYHEADER_H #define MYHEADER_H your code #endif but precompiled headers should work but i think, you will change them a lot sometimes
  3. make character using cubes , when your game is done, you can load real model. You don't need super extra cool models at the begining

  6. You can use DirectX and make own small engine for that .) DirectX SDK has lots of functions to load .X models, so you can load model, display it, you can download newton SDK and use it You have only what you need + you can run it everywhere.

  17. i still see no terrain and object are disapearing in front of camera, no skybox and i can'T see any object except trees
  18. i would like to see a roadmap of engine, at least, we will know, where engine is going, what should be done and what is in progress .. i like to be informed and have a overview

  21. design a terrain parts in 3D program .. load them, write shader for heightmaps .. done. problem is you can't copy object, only make instance ... = problem
