I already have a local copy of the the entire Wiki site and may well do the same for the documentation URL to ensure I'm not dependent on it's continued availablity.

 

What's the situation with the LE2 Assets? Will they continue to be available or should I be doing a last asset grab to ensure I have anything I need should I return to development work in the future?

That's quite nice. One of the reasons we didn't do the printed manual was because it would have taken a lot of time to pull all the html pages and make a PDF. Maybe we should consider doing a run of them for 3.1?

I plan to do the same for the evolving LE3 documents in the wiki. Because what I'm doing is manual, it won't work without a change log so that content can be updated.

What i miss in the current documentation is a functional search. Even the current documentation and reference for LE3 does not allow a search. It always says it could not find anything.

Edit: I think I just found the problem. When you go to the Documentation page the Category in the search bar is blank. If you set it to Documentation first, it looks like it works. This should probably be the default but it's an easy fix.

Surprised so many people still using le2.I still take a look at my le2 game,We shouldn;t have to depend on having an internet connection. The british winter often brings down power lines and some people are isolated for several days.

If you're talking about Steam, aren't you able to launch Leadwerks without being online?

Yes when connected to Steam you cango offline mode. And you'll be in offline mode the next time you launch Steam.

I also asked offline docs, like Reference manual in one PDF , lot more fast and easy to use than navigator.

There is a secret feature built into this site. Pass "?clean=1" after any URL to strip out all the chrome:
