shaochun
Hi all, Just purchased the Leadwerks Engine and Leadwerks Professional Engine DLC from Steam. After creating the new project I can't find the VS solution or project file. And even if changing the file Source/App.cpp, it didn't get recompiled when pressing the Debug button in Leadwerks Script Editor. What am I missing? The About... says it's a professional version: Thanks.
gamecreator
It's in the Projects/Windows folder.
shaochun
Will there be a vs2015 version Leadwerks.lib? The compiler is complaining Error LNK2038 mismatch detected for '_MSC_VER': value '1800' doesn't match value '1900' in App.obj in Leadwerks.lib(Math_.obj)
shaochun
Thanks Jen, that's what I did to get it compiled. This means Leadwerks can't work on a pure vs2015 environment, the system has to install both vs2015 and vs2013.
mdgunn
A pure VS2015 template solution is acknowledged as being on the road-map of tasks. Hopefully Josh will see there is another new user looking for this feature and evaluate this in light of existing priorities. I'm fairly sure he sees most posts in the forums here, or you could always PM him.
AggrorJorn
Josh already tried to do this once but hit some obstacles. As other tasks had higher priority, it was set aside for now. Maybe when the new UI is created and perhaps some documentation is revamped, visual studio 2015 support might come as well.
reepblue
It's actually very cumbersome to find VS2013. You have to go through some hoops to get the web installer from Microsoft. shaochun
We are getting into 2017 pretty soon, and 2013 is way too old. All the modern tools and libraries support vs2015, and seriously, it should take just a week to port Leadwerks libraries to vs2015.

Josh
I'm actually going to skip straight to VS 2017. 3 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
reepblue
Good idea! Will there still 2013 backwards compatibility atleast for the first few months? I don't want to get the new VS until it's fully released. Not a huge deal for me, but still very cool.
