  1. Interesting thoughts. I can see you are moving towards LUA and that's a good move I think. I started off with just LUA but found that some things as SQL was better done in C++ at this moment. So now I have a bit of same approach with a base in C++ for data store and keeping track of items that needs storage, besides that most things are still LUA. Thanks for this interesting post

  2. Don't make the same mistake as with the last 'off-road' experiment when LE was going mobile. I do believe this will go the same way, but that's me. Anyway there are one statement that worries me a bit.

Finally, post-processing effects are pretty much a thing of the past since they work on a flat image and not in a real 3D world. The next major iteration of Leadwerks is going to be engineered specifically with these parameters in mind.

Do I read that post-processing is going away? Where do that leave us that do not aim at publishing any VR-games. Please explain a bit more about what this future idea leave us "normal" game makers. I'm just starting quite a intense effort here and don't wont to end up i same disaster as the last mobile-idea ended up in. An engine that went backwards two or three steps and took years to get well again. Tell me were not going there again and that I do not have to worry about that

  3. I find this as good news. Don't be offended now but please continue on spending your time on the reason why we are here instead of making models. I mean the engine of course. I would like to see more engine development reports instead of sales reports. Get someone taking care of those things and do what you are best on. Making a good engine. Like it or not but that's my view on this

  4. Yes. How could I forget the glue and all the newspapers. It's with a little tear in my eye I now remember me and my now deceased Father spending hours upon hours building the perfect model rail landscape together. A beautiful memory. Thanks for reminding me of that Josh :)
