Thanks for replies. The oildrums are not the Leadwerks ones they are my own . I will try the suggestions.

I have cleared up most problems I had with collisions but one remains; I have a interior only level. In one room I have a crate and two oildrums. If I push the player gently against the crate it slides along nicely but if I hit a oildrum first and THEN push the crate
It flies around in a crazy manner. Its as though hitting the oildrum first builds up energy. Has anyone else had this problem?
The player bodymass is 12, The crate and oildrum mass is 6.
The following line may be relevant
UpdateController(player, camrotation.Y, move * 5.0, strafe * 5.0, jump, 500, 8)

What is the effect of the friction option in the properties physics section. Is it best to leave it at the default value?

I had a problem with 3dws and win 7 after upgrading. It crashed when I scrolled the texture browser.I suspected a texture I had just added and getting rid of the texture cured the problem.
Or maybe you need to update drivers.
Quite a few people had issues with vista 64 bit and 3ws.
Sooner next version of 3dws comes out the better.

Did the update but can't see any difference. Am I missing something.?
I think it was 2 files updated.

I don't really care what other people do with Le. If they want to write a game as I do thats great but if they would rather do tutorials or some le related utilities or just dabble at things in general Thats fine.

Is there any way to stop or reduce juddering effect when the controller collides with an object?

There must be some special reason there is no undo button because they are normaly easy to implement. I havn't found it much of a ptoblem. I messed up a couple of times but I had saved my file every few minutes as is my normal practise

The new blender is looking good but how do you apply textures in the beta or in 2.49?
EDIT: champagne bottles are easy to model using lathe tool.Not sure there is one in blender.

Whoopeeeeey. After several frustrating days I have finaly managed to make a chair model in Blender.
So congratulate me and shower me with flowers( take em out of the pot first).

You would have to make a fresh start to your game with le although some of your minib3d code would ptobably work with some modification.
You also need a good graphics card with le.

When you say that one language is faster than another do you mean a faster framerate?
I think maybe sped is governed by the speed of le functions.

If you have geforce card a driver update may cure the problem,

I normaly reference the object by its name in its properties,which I usualy change if its not easy to remember.

Perhaps it should be the player rather than the camera as a parameter?

So far I have used EntityDistance for all triggers and all sort of objects, such as lights. Be nice to have some different and more precise way.

I notice that player bodymass is set to 1 in the above code.I have mine currently set at 10. Is this something to experiment with or is a value of 1 the most suitable?

The example code on the forum is more up to date than that on the wiki. Examples by macklebee and marleys ghost, for example.

I recently upgraded to win 7 and reinstalled my programs. I put le on the c drive.Last night I found that it had seemingly disapeared, but the editor icon was still on the desktop.I clicked on it and it loaded up ok, so I thought"well where the hell is le then"
I checked the editor icons properties and found that it had moved inside my ultimate unwrap folder and the editor shortcut knew where it was.
Ultimate unwrap was also on the c drive so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it to program files. Seems ok now, but how could that happen?

I have been playing around with latest beta of blender. I can't see where to load in textures. Anyone help?

Don't think it is intended. Has happened to me but not very often.

I installed Windows 7 in 45 minutes using the Custom option, everything seems to be working ok at the moment

Changing the player mass to 60 and altering the code to that above has improved things so thanks again.
