purchased and received this model today. Download was fast. I took a quick look at it in uu3d and it looks great.
I will do conversions tommorow.

Thanks for reply. It deems to be mainly character objects that are affected.
-
Thanks Steve. I will try again.

The Elystian Red Knight Character looks great. I've just tried to order it but I'm getting an error relating to shipping options which is not allowing me to complete the order.

Can someone remind me how to unparent a character.Thanks.

I don't know if its my monitor but its too dark to see clearly but from what I CAN see it looks very good and has anims I could use..

I know but I would never need many of them.

I am looking for animated character packs of the medieval fantasy type. Characters that weild swords and axes etc.
I know about tgc packs but can someone suggest others that they have tried and found to be ok. Thanks.

Compared with Unity pro and many other game engines Le 2 is very cheap. I am hoping this big difference will also be the same for Le 3.

Try installing to the c drive. If not already there.

It should work with that card and xp is fine.
-
What graphics card do you have? And are your drivers up to date?
-
Assets mean models, textures etc. A 3d app is required . A lot of people use Blender for this ( its free). Lua script is mainly used on a per objrct basis while your main program will be written in Blitzmax or c++.

Priceless. And I thought I went a long way back with my Sinclair 48k machine.
-
Lumooja. Have you been programming for over 40 years then.? I visulize you as being young.
-
Whats so important about ultimate speed? Surely fast enough is enough. My graphics card is not the fastest possible , but its fast enough.
Incidently the bmax version of my game ran faster than the c++ version.

I have noticed that when I look at a models properties in the general section sometimes the active and enabled items are set to true and other times aet to false by default and seemingly random.
Does anyone know what causes this?
-
The conversion tools work well in le and are straight forward and easy to use.
Thats all you need to know.Or am I wrong?
-
Thanks everyone for advice. I did a clean install last night and updated relavent files in my project folder but it makes no difference.
Normally if I am the only one to have the problem I assume I am doing something wrong, but on a couple of occasions in the past it HAS turned out to be a bug. Time will tell.

I have no problem with the original character, its when I copy and paste it or drag and drop it to make a copy and then change the name of the copy in order to make it a different character that the problem occurs. And its not just changing the name that causes the problem, its changing anything.
If I load the character into uu3d and save it with a new name then the editor sees it as a different character and it works fine.
-
It only happens with characters. If I want a second instance of a character and change the name to make it a new character it drops thru the floor.
also in the general tab enabled and active are set to false. Chaning them also causes the model to drop thru floor.
EDIT:Maybe its different for characters. I just did copies of crates and oildrums without problems.
-
When I change the name of a character in its properties it falls thru the floor. Before changing the name everything works fine.
This is a recent occurence. I am using le 2.43
Any help?? Is it a bug?

That autodesk thing sounds bad. .
I make do with Blender,ac3d and Hexagon.I also have Silo the further development of which is extremely slow. The current version was in beta for well over a year.

I suppose The high percentage of votes for high end machines indicates a high number of hobbyists with no worries of having to sell their games, or simply the fact that you MUST have such a machine for le 2.
