I would highly recommend staying away from the images. I would prefer just a bulleted list of the topic as a hyperlink. It is a much cleaner look and much easier to see what all of the lessons are about.

Bravo!

A lot of things in the editor need keyboard shortcuts imo.
I would love the ability to assign keyboard shortcuts to any command I like in the editor. I use a Logitech G13 and it is awesome for working in GIMP and Blender.

That, is the real problem...
I second this. This is only good for the experienced and I would guess that the market for LE is primarily beginner's and individual developers.

Bravo! I really think every dollar an engine developer spends on tutorials and documentation ends up paying off exponentially down the road.

Good stuff.

Why not to do Blender exporter development community driven?
I hope not. We paid for it as part of kickstarter. The last thing I want to do is wait a year for it to get to beta. He should pay someone and get it done in the next month or two.

You owe me whatever a new Linux box will cost!
I'll help with the cost of Linux. I recommend Linux Mint Cinnamon.

A few questiosn:
1) Does purchasing the backer level entitle me to Leadwerks 3.1 with the deferred renderer?
2) Will this be less expensive than purchasing Leadwerks 3.1 when it is actually finished?
3) Any timeline on completion date?

Beginning work on Leadwerks 3.1

Looking forward to it. Any very rough ETA on 3.1 and pricing?

While I can appreciate your explanations as to why you priced the way you did, I personally have been burned before by developers. I purchased the early adopters license of Torque3D and was promised so many features. They even had videos of the features implemented in the engine. Then all of a sudden, they do a 180 and those features get removed and now we have an open source engine. I swore on my life that was the last time I was going to be an early adopter.
As far as Unity 3D and Shiva go, I have no doubt that you can make a great product, but as it stands now, Unity 3D has so so many more features. I would say it would approach embarrassing to even do a feature comparison at this point. Now, at some point could you charge the same amount of money as them? Probably. I don't think you will be successful trying to do so given the current lack of features.
So at this point, I will not be investing any money in Leadwerks 3. But I will be checking in from time to time to see how the progress has been. I'm hoping that your LE2 to LE3 upgrade path will be honored longer than a month. Probably a year to be fair.
Best of luck.

I'm sorry Josh, but I think reality and what you are asking are far different. I will be back in a few months when the price has dropped 80%. The engine looks promising, but not at that price. Best of luck though.

Wow! That was unexpected. I hope everything works out for you Josh and company.

Please tell me that darkness awaits is a sample level based on 'The Zone' which we never got a finished version of. I have a hard time imagining you letting that go to waste.

This is awesome.

I see 'the zone' assets in there. Does this mean a tech demo of it may actually be released?

Nice Homer Simpson reference.

These blogs are great. It seems like things are really starting to pickup with the development. I'm excited for the release.
-
I must admit, I am pretty excited to get my hands on this.

I agree with the character system as well. I would say go the route of Oblivion (supposedly much improved in Skyrim).
