Very good work MG, now if you could just get that pesky spider to "learn" how you play....
Instancing will be a very nice update..
-
very good update. thanks
-
I've actually grown to like the new style. I hate having a menu that covers the whole screen..
-
very well put Pancakes..
As far as 3.0, yes if the feature set is majorly increased, I wouldn't mind paying for that... I guess it just depends on how it comes out.
I support Josh's decision. [not that is matters, since it is his engine ]... I get a little over zealous sometimes. )
-
I will be very comfortable with this when the next major version comes out.
I will stop using LE if it comes to that. The $1k Price tag I mean. Maybe I am reading between the lines here, but thats what I get from that.
-
very cool work.
-
that was a joke of course.
I am confident that Josh believes in the indie/Garage development scheme, and not just the pocket book. I fear that investors might change that...(investors want profit) That was the reason for that comment.

Time to save money for the next update.....
I see "in my magic glass ball" a 10x increase in price.
lol
All good news Josh. Looking forward to gamedev new site.

I'm not asking you to. This is a blog. A blog is where you write down your thoughts. They are not bashes at people or towards people, they are thoughts.
I am kind of tired of being told. "Just work on your game" Part of it is networking, and I decide what flow I want to use for my game.
Maybe I want to be able to log into a server, with just a map, and a building or two and walk around first. Maybe that's part of my work flow. Its my game, please don't tell me how or what I should do with it.

very good start Dave. Its also nice to see the progression of an "expert" in the field, so I can see where I go wrong. I will be watching this progression, and are very anxious to see a LE "Zone".
-
I love STALKER 2.. Great graphics for me. and a very good story to follow. I am having fun in the zone.
Welcome Dave, and am very anxious to see where it goes..
-
exciting news. Keep it up Josh

I like being a jack of all trades, but would like to be a master of one, some day.
-
thats just to cool.. Great job MG

I agree with the above posters. A discount for current user would be nice, but I feel like my $50 was WELL spent. Also, growing the user base is a must, as I am sure Josh will agree.

the 420 maps

I love this:
I've had these ideas for a long time, but the reason I am devoting time to them right now is because a game is coming out relatively soon that uses Leadwerks Engine, and I want it to be the best it can be. You know who you are

sounds like a great plan..
One question.
there has not been an import on any GMF files that I have found for editing the models. This allowed for not being able to modfiy the GMF's. There will not be an "export" right?
None-the-less great idea Josh.
one the GUI system. I believe a GUI editor would be great. This would allow your artist's in the community to place good looking GUI's into their levels, and bring LE up to par with some of the good engine's out there with their workflow.

I actually never tried the demo, just watched the video...
More just like the idea, but not the $4500/year license.
