  1. The author of Albalynx (http://albalynx.com/) recently connected his GUI to Allegro5, at my request. Final version yet to be uploaded. Anyway, connection is through a relatively small header file. I'm sure the same can be done for Leadwerks 3. I seem to recall that GWEN required some fiddling to compile, though that may have changed since I last looked.
  2. Looks pretty cool. It appears that at least a couple of folks have dramatically extended LE2.x which makes me hopeful that perhaps one such 'addon' will go on sale.
  3. I would also prefer that the tutorials not be scattered across dozens of documents. Easily accessible and downloadable will avoid the problems experienced with the LE2x. Everyone should have the opportunity to download the entire 'course' in one click. PDFs would also be a bonus.
  4. Might I suggest that you not directly launch into the FPS but rather spend some time detailing and expanding on the major elements of the API, with examples. I would prefer comprehensive generic knowledge versus what may become a narrow trajectory. Indeed, marketing on native code coupled with too much focus on Lua sends mixed messages. A coherent presentation would be most appreciated. Also with many features currently missing I do hope that the documentation will not be left incomplete (as those features are being added).
  5. I am pretty sure this is not a option that should require begging.
  6. I'll respond for myself. * my parents do not have internet (older folks). I do visit. * in a month my current contract ends meaning that the only place for internet, unless I find a coffee shop, is my apartment. I plan to effectively go the "independent" route consequently for now there will not be any work connection through the day. * I don't have a cell phone (that is, I choose to not have a cell phone) I have come to like the freedom of not always being connected. Our realities are not fully overlapping.
  7. I don't want to manually download (wget) the files, though an option. I generally have no interest in reading documentation on line, rather I prefer on my local machine, preferably as a PDF. Depending on the material it will be printed.
  8. Will complete documentation be integrated into the download?
  9. Agreed. Nicely formatted PDFs make a world of difference.
  10. Years ago (15?) I used TomTree (http://aust-manufaktur.de/austtx.html) to do some work in object recognition. I wonder if the include files can be ported/adapted for environment like Leadwerks. I also quite like the look of the trees produced by XFrog (http://xfrog.com/category/XF.html).
  11. That was pretty cool. I'll have to watch a couple more times.
  12. Well, if they integrate I would be happy. Funny thing is i gravitated to LE because of the tutorials and resemblance to Allegro. Edit: A current topic - http://www.allegro.cc/forums/thread/605252
  13. Allegro 4.9x or 4.4 with AllegroGL (allegro.cc) Prebuilt binaries for the 4.9x branch can be found in the Development forum. Maybe not as slim as you would like...

    C-API Manual

A printer friendly version will likely be uploaded this evening after reformatting the longer function prototypes. This will provide the opportunity to eliminate the current hard coded margins, allowing TeX to handle book formatting without interference. BTW, the point of highlighting was to increase readability, specifically separating the API from the description.
  15. Please see attached for the first release of a PDF version of the C-API extracted from the Wiki. Future versions will re-integrate external links as well as similar output for two or three other languages. Update1: * book format * fixed margins * BW version Ken lesdk-book-col.pdf lesdk-book-bw.pdf
  16. Great offer. On my list of TODOs for this weekend.
  17. When time permits, please do expose these functions. It would be most appreciated.

  19. For additional information about SDL (though brief): http://www.galaxygameworks.com/ GLFW may also be of some interest (new release today): http://freshmeat.net/projects/glfw
  20. In addition to Vim, what I use, and Codeblocks you may find U++ (http://www.ultimatepp.org/) interesting.
  21. *.a ... I tend to use MingW. Edit: Or does MingW also link with .lib
  22. Any indication of when these will be uploaded, including the horse pack? Thanks. Edit: I see they are in the June folder...
