  1. Thanks, Jeep112! I appreciate it. Been too busy lately with a project, but i'll keep on working on some new models, and then upload them.
  2. Hey, thanks guys! Have been busy with game projects, so there was little time to create new models, but i'll do my best to work on them asap. ;-) Hehehheh, and i'll be playing my guitar while modeling rocks. Next model will probably be...a rock. Or...not...!
  3. Awesome work, as usual, shad! Downloading now! Will have a look at it, see how it works, and make a few skyboxes for the asset store.
  4. Yes, I offer models for free, but I also intent to create models to be payed for. No disrespect, man...your models are great, no doubt, but putting your link for 'giving a hint on another alternative', is not nice either, considering the fact that this thread is about my models. You can 'give hints' and help out just by telling. There's no need to 'give hints' by putting links on another one's model showcase thread, considering that you already have a link in your sig.
  5. Thanks for pointing that out, guys. Guess Michael is impressed with the quality of my models. Hehehhe! Yep, I know what you mean. Next rock models will look more natural.
  6. You'd be surprised at how real life rock formations can look 'human placed'.
  7. Had another go at a new rock model. Only 2126 tris. Hope you'll like it. The one above has only 2552 tris, btw. Will create a few more (also single rock models) and then upload them on my website.
  8. There are indeed some very cool and remarkable logo animations. Oh, btw...HERE's an article that explains why logo animation is indeed good.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions and comments everyone! We really appreciate it. I must agree that the animation in our logo is 'bad'. The animation with the letters popping up in sequence, is kinda too 'Las Vegas', and it adds nothing extra to the logo name. I've asked around a bit here and there regarding our logo and the topic, and most reactions where that animation 'can' give an extra value to logos, IF done right. Thanks again!
  10. Yeah, Blender is a great program for animation, except that the workflow isn't my kinda thing. I've searched on the net, trying to know if animation is a 'bad' thing for logo design, and so far, I haven't found any article that says animation is 'bad' when creating logos. In fact, some say that animated logos are used much more frequently, with great success. Animation in logos can add a new dimension to your company name. Here's an article about that.
  11. Well, in this case, it's used as a banner, and even so...there's plenty of examples where companies use animated logos for their company name. I kept the whole animation rather simple and easy to read, I think. But thanks for the suggestion.
  12. Hm...haven't tried that, but it might work. Thanks for the suggestion! Just found out from a friend that there's a file format called .APNG, that does support animation, aswell as 24-bit images and 8-bit transparency not available for GIF's. And, the best of all, there's a plugin available for GIMP that allows the .APNG format!
  13. Just finished the new animated logo i've created for the Rimfrost team (Roland and myself ), and wanted to show how it turned out. The initial image(s) for the animation had a blue-ish semi-transparent glow on 'Rimfrost', but it appears that .gif files don't support semi-transparency. So, I had to get rid of the blue glow. But, it turned out rather good, even without the glow effect. Does anyone know of a graphical file format similar to .gif, that supports semi-transparency and animation ? Thanks! Comments/suggestions are welcome. Here it is:
  14. Very good start for a great game, Rick! With a bit of polish and of course more puzzles, this can turn into a pretty nice game! Sent you a PM, btw. Managed to open up the two gates. Cheers
  15. Just finished a second rock model. I hope Rick doesn't see a flipping bird in it now.
  16. Working on a second rock model now. I'll try to keep it less 'bird flipping'. Have no idea if that's the right way to say it, but you know what I mean, right?
  17. How about this one to start with? Had a bit of 3D Coat fun and this is the result. Only 2618 tris. Will make a few similar ones like this rock model.
  18. I'll make 'em as low poly as possible, but still detailed. The bump map should also add lots of fine® detail. Nah, don't worry. As you said, it's one of those models that are very usefull in plenty of games.
  19. You're welcome, man! Thanks! Sounds good. Any preference for maximum polycount? Yup, shouldn't be a problem. Modular sets are very usefull indeed. Will start on that right away.
  20. Here's an image of a new rock model I've just created in 3D Coat! Will upload it as a FREE 3D model on my website soon! Only 888 tris, and has diffuse, bump and spec maps (2048x2048). Credits (and comments) are appreciated! And, if you'd like to see specific free models to download, please feel free to ask.
  21. As I understand shad's phrase, you can't have transparency in your images for it to work.
  22. Okay all, Here's the link to my personnal artwork/game projects website, where you'll find free (and non-free) artwork for game creation. It's still WIP, but you'll already find a couple of textures which can be used completely for free in any of your game projects! Credits are appreciated. Thanks! More free stuff will follow soon. If any of you have suggestions to see specific art uploaded for free, just let me know. Thanks! LINK: My Artwork Cheers
  23. Hello everyone! Been working on my own website and will upload free and payed 2D/3D artwork, plus also music and sounds. You'll find textures, animated spritesheets, 3D models (also rigged ones), and other artwork. So, be warned...no more excuse for non-artists to create great games! Will reveal the website soon...stay tuned. Cheers
  24. That's probably the one I'm talking about. Importing a cube cross image and setting the texture to cubemap, should do the trick, if I understood Josh correctly, but for some reason, it doesn't work. Would be great if you could look into it, shad! You're superb with shaders!
