  1. Wait a minute. The site says 10 people downloaded the first image and 5 people have downloaded the second image. I know what sort of place this is. Still, she looks good to me - I've had better though.
  2. Ah, I forgot it was April 1st. To be honest, I'm not joking. I'm probably being a little bit on the cheeky side - but I seriously don't have time to use LE. I bought the upgrade as the $50.00 offer price was due to be changed to $200.00.
  3. I'm downloading 2.3 but won't have time to look at it for a few months, so can people email me/post here lots of juicy code/terrains so that I can fast-track with it at a later date. Ideally, I want decent stuff, RPG stuff would be nice - maybe FPS stuff too - anything decent which will cut down on what I have to discard. Some of the stuff in the gallery looks good, but I haven't got time to pick what I want - so just assume it is yours and send it across and I'll weed out what I don't want. I find that usually when there is an upgrade to LE that a ton of stuff works differently and, quite frankly, I won't have time to bother to learn anything new as I am tied up with Blitz3D for a while.     Well, it was the bit where he mentions 'I got my hands on the GDC showcase scene' that made me wonder if he had seen it actually running in LE previously. However, in complete honesty, I'd like to play with it myself.

    What's with the weird shadow from the rock on the bottom right picture? The three rocks nearest the '50' road sign - the one closest to the camera. The shadow looks borked.

    Hand it over. Let's be honest - nobody is going to believe the GDC footage was running in LE unless we see it for ourselves. Share and share alike.
  12. Old? Legend - Yes. It is just that I like to see things done properly - none of this 'throwing the towel in' that goes on over here. I suggest one of you lot sort the problem and then email the results over to "halo" and he can then update the Wiki. If you divide them up between you then you will finish them quicker.
  13. 1 landscape and only 5 textures? I didn't know about that. I can't say that I am happy about it. Still, you can bypass all of this just by coding a terrain. In Blitz3D I just tile landscape pieces together - ie make a square of terrain in code, multi-texture in code then I can put it where I want. The great thing being you can still dynamically alter the terrain pieces in real-time too if you want - the fact that they are tiled helps with the rendering too - plus you can use more than the standard 6-8 texture limit.

  16. Any volunteers to complete the BMax tutorials? Plus, tidy stuff up (where necessary) to work on multiple versions. That is something that has annoyed me in the past on the old forum. Someone posts code and it doesn't work, coz they are using a different version than you. Any takers on this?

  18. I did - but I forgot about it and then, when I remembered that I had previously downloaded it, it told me it had expired.
  19. I can't be bothered with the conversion process - too much of my time is spent converting things. I've just checked and Leadwerks Engine SDK 1.10 had .smd support - as well as .b3d. It would be great to have smd support back.
  20. It would be handy for me to have the ability to load .smd files directly into LE. Has anyone written an importer? There used to be one at some point in the development of LE.
  21. I found out today that Sandbox is dead. I only started using it today. How does the new Leadwerks Editor stand up against Sandbox? Any opinions - does it make anything easier? I was messing about with Sandbox with creating a terrain and then pasting a forest all over it - with the new animated oak tree. It looked pretty good. So it got me wondering as to how much better the new editor is.
  22. Sniff. I've only just started to use Sandbox. I bought LE back in 2008, but Blitz3D keeps me on a tight leash so I have only just started using it.
  23. Good. I will be upgrading in a few days or so - before the expiry date. I haven't even used the previous versions of LE - but you have to be 'in it, to win it'. EDIT: Mmm, but is there a Sandbox forum too or is it included in the Leadwerks Editor one too?
  24. I notice that in the Artwork forum there is a Leadwerks Editor forum. What is Leadwerks Editor - is it a 2.3 thing? I assumed it was the Sandbox, but I am not sure.
