Ok, i am thinking of getting this engine to make a medieval based sort of game. It may have on-line features, but it is still in dev.

Is the engine easy to use and get used to. And if i can find a c++ coder how doe it all start.

Very open i know but just need to know before i consider to get.

Yes, as a programmer it's one of the easier libraries I've used. As a non programmer it's probably not the easiest but you can still get nice looking scenes which are static.

I would use RakNet for the online features you want, but there are other external networking libraries like SDL also. LE's networking commands are kind of green behind the ears.

It's a great engine with a great community, but it does require coding a good chunk of your game systems. Pathfinding being one of those for example.

The pipeline for getting a mesh from the 3d app to leadwerks can be a little tricky at first. I use UU3D to help me with exporting to leadwerks as it cuts out a few stages, like using various converters. From an artists point of view though, I love leadwerks engine. It's the best value for money and has stunning graphics!

Intel core 2 quad 6600 | Nvidia Geforce GTX460 1GB | 2GB DDR2 Ram | Windows 7.

Google Sketchup | Photoshop | Blender | UU3D | Leadwerks Engine 2.4

lol, well will learning a code be hard, i learnt CSS but thats easy lol

CSS isn't really coding. Now JavaScript on the other hand. Sloppy as it is, is very similar to what you'll need for Leadwerks, so it's something to start with.

LE Version: 2.50 (Eventually)
