I found the road mat but i cant open it.What programs open .mat photoshop dont.

The mat file is a material file which contains text. It containts information about which textures the model uses. Inside the texture you can refer to your own texture like this:

texture0="abstract::MyRoadTextures.dds"

The texture itself sould always be of the .dds format

Ok i opened the texture with dxtbmp edited it and saved it but now the road wont load in leadwerks.I believe im saving it as the wrong format (ex: dds dxt5)?WHat am i spose to save it as?

just copy the original road folder and rename the gmf and lua file and you can have several roads.

When you are using dds it is recomended to use DXT5. also don't forget to turn on mipmapping.
