  1. Hello! I have problems with creating spectator camera with C++ using this tutorial sphere moving faster then camera, but this is not main problem. I dont understand why, but sphere have the inertia. I mean, when i stop pressing 'w' sphere dont stop movement, just slow down a bit. And also she pushes off from the wall and flies. I cant understand why it hapends! Please, give me advice. There is my code #include "App.h" using namespace Leadwerks; App::App() : window(NULL), context(NULL), world(NULL), camera(NULL) {} App::~App() { delete world; delete window; } Vec3 camRotation; Vec2 centerMouse; Vec2 mouseDef; Vec3 camMovement; Vec3 Temp; float MouseSens; float strafeM; float moveM; float forceM; bool cameraMode; bool App::Start() { // Создание основных коммпонентов window = Window::Create("Learning", 0, 0, 1920, 1080, Window::Titlebar); context = Context::Create(window); world = World::Create(); camera = Camera::Create(); camera->SetPosition(0, 2, 5); light = DirectionalLight::Create(); // Определение переменных MouseSens = 10; strafeM = 0.4; moveM = 0.6; forceM = 1000; centerMouse = Vec2(context->GetWidth() / 2, context->GetHeight() / 2); // Создание спектатора spectator = Model::Sphere(8); spectator->SetPosition(Vec3(0, 8, 0)); spectator->SetScale(Vec3(5, 5, 5)); Shape* spectatorShape = Shape::Sphere(0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1); spectatorShape = Shape::Sphere(); spectator->SetShape(spectatorShape); spectator->SetMass(1); spectator->SetGravityMode(false); spectatorShape->Release(); cameraMode = false; // Загрузка карты Map::Load("maps/test.map"); window->HideMouse(); return true; } bool App::Loop() { Time::Update(); world->Update(); world->Render(); context->Sync(false); // Возможность закрыть окно if (window->Closed() || window->KeyHit(Key::Escape)) return false; // Переключение между режимами камеры if (window->KeyHit(Key:)) cameraMode = !cameraMode; // Удерживание указателя мыши по центру Vec3 CMP = window->GetMousePosition(); mouseDef.x = CMP.x - centerMouse.x; mouseDef.y = CMP.y - centerMouse.y; window->SetMousePosition(centerMouse.x, centerMouse.y); // Вращение камеры camRotation.x += mouseDef.y / MouseSens; camRotation.y += mouseDef.x / MouseSens; camera->SetRotation(camRotation); //Движение камеры camMovement.x = (window->KeyDown(Key:) - window->KeyDown(Key::A)) * Time::GetSpeed() * strafeM; camMovement.y = (window->KeyDown(Key::E) - window->KeyDown(Key::Q)) * Time::GetSpeed() * strafeM; camMovement.z = (window->KeyDown(Key::W) - window->KeyDown(Key::S)) * Time::GetSpeed() * moveM; if (cameraMode) { camera->SetPosition(spectator->GetPosition()); Vec3 tForce = Transform::Vector(camMovement, camera, 0); spectator->AddForce(camMovement * forceM); } else { camera->Move(camMovement); }; return true; }
  2. Hello, I just bought the software, and I wanted to make third person shooter, but there is no script to add to your model. I have look at the videos and scripts on the web but they look out of date. I have leadwerks 3.5 lua edition. Does someone have a new script in lua ? Thank, Goodjourney
  3. After a long while of inactivity on the forums, I wanted to take the time and share my boilerplate and base game application, in c++, for the Leadwerks game engine. The source can be found here. This project uses V$ 2013, C++11 and Leadwerks 3.X. There are currently no external dependencies outside from the full version of Leadwerks Game Engine, on Steam. If you have any problems setting up the application just let me know. I will gladly assist in any way possible. You should be able to clone/download the repo, drag in the Leadwerks asset folders, and be on your way! What it includes: Base Game Object Input Manager State Manager Camera Manager Planned enhancements: Event Management Network integration with Steam Voxel Management Game Object Management Weapons and Bullets Several generic C++ containers much much more The planned enhancements are actually already complete, I am just taking them out from my existing game application, cleaning them up, and adding documentation. I look to push changes to the public-facing repository bi-monthly. I would love to get some feedback about what you guys and gals think, whether you are using it in your projects, and or what you think the template could use. I will be posting notes on my IndieDB blog as well to follow my releases. P.S. The current template contains a simple example, demonstrating the use of the Game Object, Camera Manager, and how to switch between Camera Behaviors.
  4. So i was starting a new project and modeled an Player with some bones. It is in a third person view and the problem is that you cant see where the player looks (to pick up objects). So I just started to Insert the camrotation on the x axis inro a SetRotation function. 1. function Script:UpdateWorld() 2. self.entity:SetRotation(Math:self.camRotation.x,0,0) 3. 4. end I get the error: function arguments exspected near "." , (in the 2. line) The herarchy looks sth like this : Player(fpsPlayer) SantaModel ->arms ... -> Head (right here is the Script attached) Camera(this has no script but is attached to Player) I dont know wheres the problem , it is probably some newbie mistake. To make sure, the camRotation.x is in an other script.

  13. I need Help! I am running into a very disheartening crash that I don't understand. My test level keeps crashing with the not-quite-helpful error message of "Object Table Not Found". I am not quite sure what this means, and the error is not consistent enough for me to trace effectively. Oddly enough if I run in debug mode, it just crashes out without even giving the error. Nothing complicated is going on in the level. I have a character, who fires an entity(trigger collision) and when the entity is close to the target point, I release the entity. It usually crashes after doing this about 20 times. I do not even evoke a collision or move any other characters. I am hoping that this error is something familiar to more seasoned developers, but if not I will try to post additional detail. Any advice on this issue or how to better trap it in debug would be helpful. Thanks as always.
  14. Hey, I have a problem that I must say, puzzles me quite a bit. when I opened my game after an update 2 months ago I recieved the error: Error 1 error C2668: 'Leadwerks::Entity::SetPosition' : ambiguous call to overloaded function 3 IntelliSense: more than one instance of overloaded function "Leadwerks::Entity::SetPosition" matches the argument list: function "Leadwerks::Entity::SetPosition(double x, double y, double z, bool global = false)" function "Leadwerks::Entity::SetPosition(float x, float y, float z, bool global = false)" argument types are: (int, int, int) object type is: Leadwerks::Entity I have no idea what to do as I have now deleted the code and tried using one of the third person templates to see if i did a mistake but I get the same error :S Hope you can help me App.cpp
