  1. Exactly my toughs. I did buy 3.0 mobile as an incentive for developer however(and because it was a good price).
  2. I have been offered as well refund but I refused because I am glad I could help linux (and Leadwerks) community. To be fair i did not put all the eggs in the same basket and i had 3 parallel implementations (with 3 different engines) for my project so I can work with other 2 (server side is where the heavy lifting part stays). However , "never say never" so we will see
  3. I am sorry but simply dropping the mobile too harsh. If Leadwerks 3.0 would not have had mobile support i would not have bothered to buy it and i would not have acquired a second license trough kickstart. While I can understand that too many platforms are hard too maintain please consider supporting at least one mobile platform, preferable android. I consider for my project (space mmo) that mobile is a key part . BTW this is one the reasons why I want source code, if developer give up on supporting then at least you have a chance on fixing stuff yourself. After i spent this time learning, prototyping and developing suddenly mobile support is dropped. The only acceptable proposal in my opinion is to provide source for 3.0 to the people who bought mobile if mobile support is dropped. Otherwise i doubt anybody else except hobbysts with small projects and steam people will touch it,
  4. one of the best gui i would say
  5. This can be one of key for the success of the asset store.
  6. I want to thank you for your amazing tutorials. They have been my startup for my game. I bought some graphical assets from the net and now i can fool myself with flying MY ship around MY station in MY "game". I know it isn;t much but is VERY COOL for me. I am working now at the network code to connect to the server.
  7. 10 years to run and improve, is aimed to be a persistent world hosted on server. The graphic itself is somehow simple, some spaceships, some shoting, and menus with buying/selling stuff. I will start simple, with place holders and improve stuff in time.
  8. Well i see my project living 10 years or more. Is not necesarely aimed to be a comercial success but to implement my vision . many things can happen in 10 years, but if you have the source code when windows 10 is released and your project does not run on it you can be screwed if there isn't support anymore for the game engine.
  9. Out of curiosity how many of you would be interested in buying the leadweks source code license ? My project is aimed to be long term and the source code would give me peace of mind that my game will not suffer a painfull dead if anything happends with leadwerks. My budget would be arround 1000$ for the source code for a single project (i will not make more than one project). EDIT: please don't bring in discussion other engines, i am aware of alternatives and costs but they don;t fit my needs
  10. @yougroove Could work is like could fly. I am aware about one which have integration in progress(was posted in another forum section) but that's about it.
  11. OFF topic: water was solved with some plane and a shader(as far as i recall) and for networking simply native OS api. Beside, this this thread is about GUI. BTW if you are aware of some 3rd party GUI that can use Leadwerks as renderer that would be good as well.
  12. I hope linux version will be released soon, i am feed-up with windows and msvc .
  13. I can understand making a mistake and having remorses but threatening with cry engine for indies is ridiculous. http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?f=355&p=1075219
  14. Congratulations for the 3.1 release. I tried a bit the Steam version and looks great.
  15. As 3.1 is imminent we can start thinking at feature list we would want for 3.2. My top wish would be an easy to use integrated GUI. Edit: i added option for intrgration in 3.1
  16. Bought it. Linux support was an important reason I hope 3.2 will have some easy to use integrated GUI .......
  17. There are a lot of programers there that don;t feel very confortable with OOP (i am one of them).
  18. I think one of the question is : would it be legal to use it and sell products made with it in those conditions? It can become a selling point too: leadwerks 2.0 for 30 bucks (if you have leadwerks 3), AS IS , no suport no upgrades. Everybody is happy.
  19. i compiled it last night, the gui is great. Thank you.
  20. I am after a c solution. thank you very much.
  21. Can someone point me please towards some basic example of how to create a GUI in leadwerks ? Even a button and some window would suffice to get me started. Thank you in advance
  22. a bit offtopic but i will answer 1. no idea what carbon is, if is eve engine , that is a big pile of ....mostly because made in python(interpreted language etc) 2. irelevant, the objects needs to move and physics(collisions) needs to be calculated 3. never said anything about terrain, but about collisions 4. still happens and need to work 5. almost any ship in eve have 5 drones
  23. well it would not hurt either to have the engine being able to handle a big number of collision boxes. For example in eve there are fights of 1000vs1000 +5*2000 fight drones +misles. I know the network will become a problem at this point but still is good to know that your game engine can handle this (and people have more bandwitch those day, peer2peer transfer etc) Bottom-line, if engine is not fast enough it will be disqualified from start when an engine is chose for a project. Maybe add a second physics engine with opencl acceleration (bullet). I understood of forum that other people integrated other engines relatively easy in their projects so i imagine would be doable.
  24. I don;t wan;t to look like a troll but 150 boxes are a bit low. I think I would need arround 2-3000. For now i go with physics disabled. for 110 000 boxes demo have a look here On a side note is it possible to easily integrate another physics engine ? Late edit: just saw that 1000 boxes are doable in other thread,( which is better) http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/topic/7317-physics-has-me-stuck/page__hl__newton__st__40
