  1. When you say that one language is faster than another do you mean a faster framerate? I think maybe sped is governed by the speed of le functions.
  2. If you have geforce card a driver update may cure the problem,
  3. I normaly reference the object by its name in its properties,which I usualy change if its not easy to remember.
  4. Perhaps it should be the player rather than the camera as a parameter?
  5. So far I have used EntityDistance for all triggers and all sort of objects, such as lights. Be nice to have some different and more precise way.
  6. I notice that player bodymass is set to 1 in the above code.I have mine currently set at 10. Is this something to experiment with or is a value of 1 the most suitable?

  8. I recently upgraded to win 7 and reinstalled my programs. I put le on the c drive.Last night I found that it had seemingly disapeared, but the editor icon was still on the desktop.I clicked on it and it loaded up ok, so I thought"well where the hell is le then" I checked the editor icons properties and found that it had moved inside my ultimate unwrap folder and the editor shortcut knew where it was. Ultimate unwrap was also on the c drive so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it to program files. Seems ok now, but how could that happen?
  9. I have been playing around with latest beta of blender. I can't see where to load in textures. Anyone help?

  11. I installed Windows 7 in 45 minutes using the Custom option, everything seems to be working ok at the moment
  12. Has anyone given any thought to this? If you write a long game the user may not want to finish it in one session,in which case you would have to consider how to do a save and restore of the game position and the status of objects etc.
  13. I get similar problems. Some objects fall over in a natural way and others fly around crazily. I don't think the physics are as stable as they once were,especialy the convex hull.
  14. Not sure what UAC is but I assume its some kind of protection that can sometimes stop progs from running.
  15. Are you saying there are issues running programs with win 7? I don't understand some of the above threads.
  16. I just got windows 7 upgrade. Does anyone know how long it takes to install. I don't want to be up all night.My internet connection is shaky so I may try an install off line. Thanks.

  23. In le 1.15 there was an example which showed how to pick up , drop and throw objects.I didn't keep that code but wish I had as it was usefull for adventure games.
  24. Sometimes when my player collides with a model placed near a wall the player goes thru the model and thru the wall and drops out of the level. It is an interior level designed in 3dws. Wall thickness is 32. Would making wall thickness 64 improve this occasional occurence? Thanks.
