Hi Rick, i deleted all and started the new Updater. I got a Messagebox for advanced rights like you said above but then the application crashes. Maybe the say the LE editor is worse today because there is more competition. Look how popular Unity became the last years as an example. Its sometime just the opinion of an individual person and mostly not objective and fair to the engine/editor/Josh. To be honest, i miss the scale ability

Hi Rick your right, its "Current Version = 1" and it could be cultural because in german we have , as decimal separator, Maybe Convert.ToDouble fails with that ? // edit: Its denfinitivly the decimal separator, if i switch to english it works. // edit2: New cursor cool I spin like devil, can you reduce the turn rate ?

I tried the following: -deleted version.txt -launched as admin -placed the game + stuff in drive d:the world (from begin) -disabled the antivirus/firewall (F-Secure) I dont know why it dont runs on my system, the 0.01 update loads perfectly. @all: When 0.02 worked for you, can you maybe tell me which system config you have ? (windows, antivirus, firewall etc.) my specc: -Windows 7 HP -Deutsche Telekom ISP -F-Secure 2012 AntiVirus+Firewall -Windows Firewall deactive -Visual Studio 2008 Standard + 2010 Express (c++, c#) -all Updates from VS/Windows -all .NET Frameworks

Thanks Rick for new Updater but im sorry to say it still dont update to 0.02 Maybe you can show me the .NET Code ? We could find the bug together. I have also to mention that the checking process has a very long duration ( 5+ seconds).

Nope even as admin it makes nothing. If i delete the version.txt file he download the 0.01 version but not the new version

Hi Rick, dont works for me. The Updater says "checking for updates..." but dont find your new update and i just can play the old 0.01 version. The version.txt file contains this "0.01". hum

Good point Rick, what you speak about is the item progression (spiral/twister). At a point you need more better items to have a progress, look at world of warcraft player have 110k - 180k health, its ridiculous. I think you could create an MMO style game but with gear that dont make you stronger (more strength/ability/spell). Instead you can just get better looking armor/weapons (style) like in Guild Wars. Or as you already mentioned, player could harvest resources and use them to create their own unique places. It could be like Minecraft but with a MMO Background. It would be very cool if you can build your own castle (needs some time) and your "enemies" can destroy it with a trebuchet or ballista

Maybe a 3D Terraria ? Or a another small RPG ? crafting your weapons etc.

Rick thats the manifest i told you about, should be working. About your game, yea please change the mouse, its flip so fast on my computer that i get crazy but looks good so far. You create a new Diablo ?

C:/Program Files/ is protected (has higher security (UAC)) from Windows, i still prefer something like c:/games/ or in my case d:/games/. You can use a manifest file to get more rights for your application but i dont which you need.

Clackdor try to run the launcher as administrator (right mouse), if that dont work then try to deactivate temporarily your anti virus/firewall. Thats my ideas so far.
