  1. I use Blender, and recommend Blender. not because is free but because it mostly works for all my 3D asset creation purposes. I tried the trial/education version of Maya, RaySupreme, and they were just hard to get used to, specially since I cannot (or could not find) a way to change key-bindings. Maya was a pain to install on Ubuntu. there are plenty of tutorials on how to use it. RaySupreme was really easy to install but I still cant figure out how to use it, and the tutorials available assume you already know your way around the software
  2. Hello all, So first move this to tutorials if it would be a more appropriate place for it. Second, some time ago when I was a total n00b doing 3D stuff I found a free Blender Course to get started and start being more proficient at creating assets. So I though i shoud share this here sincethere might be some of us that still want to learn how to do our own 3D assets; the link to the Courses is: http://gryllus.net/Blender/3D.html Note: I still consider myself a n00b.
  3. Agreed with "Thirsty Panther" is not easy to make such models, and much less rig them properly.
  4. Is there an expected time frame, roadmap we can see with this info? Also if this kind of features merit a LeadWerks 4 would i need to pay for an upgrade?
  5. I confirm that the workaround worked for me too Viva la GirdVew!
  6. It would be great if there is an exporter from MakeHuman to LeadWerks engine. just saying
  7. I only started to notice it after purchasing LW3 however, LW3 may have nothing to do with the halt/crash, and it could just be the latest steam beta client issue. for me it Happens every time i try to right click on LW3 on my game list.whether it's installed or not, it also happened on my linux machine where LW3 is currently not installed.
  8. @gamecreator, it think Lua, but C++ should good as well, the point is to make a Start to Finish, the details as how to do it can be up to the Tutorial Maker @Rick, if there are multiple ways to this then I believe a good thing to do would be to do first the one that would be better to Total newbies (like me), and then if there is time to spare do the other ways.
  9. I would like to know if there are any tutorials coming up that show how to make a game from start to finish (something simple) that could take about 1 or 2 hours to make. I am still new to the GameDev stuff, so I would like to see something like: Create a Game first screen (like the main menu) Enter the game, and do something (like enter a room, grab a key, open door) Game End, once the objective is complete to show how to end a game, like sending the user to the main menu or some credits.
  10. I gave my input on the Steam Forums, so I am just going to copy paste what i wrote before. - Male and Female Character, with animations (Walk, Run, Attack, Die, Hit, Idle, Jump, Left and Right move, Backward Walk) - Medieval, Futuristic Sci-Fi, or Modern props and locations - Vegetation and Landscape, and a way to paint the vegetation (Unity3D style) - Animals or Creatures with basic animations (Walk, Attack, Die, Idle) Any or all of these would be infinitely useful.
  11. Have you considered using or integrating another framework like GamePlay3D to bring mobile back? (i am not a programer so i clearly dont know what i am talking about)
  12. Hello and sorry if this has been asked before, but is there or will there be any tutorials that show how to create a basic FPS/RPG/RTS begining to end (1 level) with assests and all. it would be nice to have it and keep it a template/base for newbies to create their own games.
  13. I am on the same ground, waiting for Steam Linux
