Re import new version MDL file without loosing them on map

I put some entities using a script, the model was "MANTA.MDL"

 

Than i updated the model with new animations in Blender.

And i deleted Manta.mdl from Assets/models to re imported with same name the new FBX version.

 

 

The problem, is that in the map they where invisible objects now, no more model.

Like the new model was not auto replaced on the maps.

 

Could it be possible to have some feature to be able to update some MDL ressource used in the map (replace an existing version) without loosing them on the map ?

I think if you left the mdl and just put in the new fbx, LE automatically converts it and overwrites the mdl and everything stays the same. I think the suggested workflow is to actually have you fbx pointed to the LE directory. Open and modify that one in blender and each time you export/save it LE automatically updates/converts. By deleting the original you removed that reference, but I think if you just let LE do the conversion the reference to the model stays.
