Here's a quick little demo of the video playing thingoid I'm working on. It's very preliminary, is prone to crashing and using getkey and setkey is annoying. I may end up going w/ a code only approach instead of this but I thought some of you might find the progress interesting.

Code only? Are you crazy. Look how easy that is for people to use. If you don't want to do the Thingoid give me what you have and I'll maintain it. This is a must Thingoid. It's so easy to use this way.

Well don't want to release what I have because it crashes the editor more often than not, will randomly display/not display in game or upon map loading depending what order everything is loaded in, etc. I'm going to switch to code only for a little bit to nail down all the lua->dll issues that might be causing it, then I'll try and move back to a thingoid to deal with all the lua entity creation/destroying stuff and figure out why the properties dialog does weird things and what exact order everything is called in. I'd like to have both interfaces available, because sometimes stuff's just easier to do in code, but for simple tasks a thingoid is easier.

This looks amazing. The video is addepting itself perfectly against the models meshes and the color editing works great. well done Niosop

watching the video, would it be possible using this approach to use more than one video info node to handle diffrent videos?

It SHOULD be possible, right now it crashes. Actually a lot of things crash it. So I'm going to strip it down, make it a Lua class you include and make that work well and stable. Then I'll work on the Thingoid again once the base stuff is solid.

Sounds good, but no matter what it is definately impressive stuff.
