This is a detail of Lua. I chose not to modify the behavior of the built-in functions, even if I disagree with their design.

Basicaly the lua command print() does not flush the stream, so the text doesn't actually appear until the stream is flushed, typically at the end of the program.

My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
