firing bullets [ c++ ]

I got my gun animations working after a long session but now I need to know how to fire bullets and check they have hit the target?

Should I use bullets visibly moving or fake it in some way.

The gun fires 6 single shots.

 

 

amd quad core 4 ghz / geforce 660 ti 2gb / win 10

Blender,gimp,silo2,ac3d,,audacity,Hexagon / using c++
