LCP1 crashes with wh1sp3r's and carlb's ATI cards. Wh1sp3r has a 5870.

It crashes in RenderFramework(), so there's nothing I can do to fix it, only Josh can.

I tried also to downgrade LCP1 from LE 2.31 to LE 2.30, but the same crash happened there also.

But it looks like an issue with ATI cards and LE from what Lumoojas posted, and because it seems Nvidia card users are not getting the same issue.

hehe :) so it should not be a ATI problem

 

only if its not ;) but it could be something in the render call that ATI does not like, as lumooja said, so it would be an ATI and LE issue... after all, so far its only ATI users who seem to have this problem with emitters outside of the editor.. you said it yourself those who dont have Nvidia cards.

by the way :) i tried it 9600 NVIDIA card = crash too

 

 

really? odd then that it does not on my 9600.

so you say but .. so far no one else with an Nvidia card seems to have this issue .. so when did you try the 9600?

could still be ati as the latest driver do not support 9600, but we know ati can show bug a lot more easy and nvidia just seem to run.

a bug is a bug and should be fix, not run as nothing is wrong.

 

i have to wait for josh to tell me if it a bug on ati side so i can report to them

untill then its a le bug to me

thought it was simply an "issue" between ATI cards and LE until comfirmed? but whisper now claims his 9600 crashes ..

 

I did assume right he meant an Nvidia 9600?

lol dont you love nvidia using the same number as ati

 

am ati all the time as nvidia do not like me, so i can push ati when i know what is wrong but just saying it broken does not help

 

so till josh say what it is then it a le problem till that moment

i know not fun and it a pain for me as well

I updated to the latest build of Leadwerks today and my program is working fine with emitters.

 

Well I think it is, I installed the latest build to a new folder, pointed the appdir towards that folder then recopied the mod folders to blitzmax just to be sure.

BMax 1.38 * Leadwerks 2.4 * Unity 3.0 Pro * Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 - Win7 64bit - ATI 4870

Hi,

 

sorry to revive the thread, but it seems I do have the same/simmilar issue in C# right now.

I try to implement the particle example with the framework and only get a zero message bow during RenderFramework.

The other examples worked good so far.

 

I am working still on 2.31 by the way. An I also tried the trick with the transparency world.

 

So is this bug still open?
