  1. What a month! The second model-pack in February hits the road. smile.png

RocksHD features finally 35 rock models including different geological types like sandstone, greystone, edged rocks, large formations and even dark lava rocks.

Each rock has been hand-crafted in Zbrush with also hand-painted 2048px textures made from then high-poly bake including normals, AO and Cavity. The textures are seamless which means you can rotate each rock in any angle without looking at nasty edges or texture seams giving you all artistic freedom game-dev deserves.

Like usual lots of common model formats are supported: .max (2010), .fbx (2009), .obj, .3ds, .dae (OpenCollada) and .gmf (Leadwerks)

Also textures included in the .fbx for easy drag&drop functionality plus .dds 2048px normal, diffuse and specular setup.

You can see all models in this pdf: http://shop.pure3d.d...id_attachment=8

Or just go directly to the shop: http://shop.pure3d.de

The pack is 30 Euros so not even one Euro for each asset making it a no-brainer.

Plus the 20% discount for my 2nd company anniversary is also running. Don't miss it!

Its game-ready for Leadwerks Engine with .mat files of course. biggrin.png

  2. I'm not sure yet about the price. I think a bit more as the usual 20 bucks.

Mabe 25 to 30 - Turbosquid more of course....Its always hard to decide.

At least i lowered most prices this month on my shop permanently to normal numbers. Like 22€ to 20€ for the packs. Not because I dont sell them but I want clear numbers and not this 24,95...

  3. Here we go with the roundish grey rocks:

And the formations I wrote about some time ago. Looks great in a forest and its nice to hide. Stick some old and rotten trees between the trees and place some animated birds and you feel like in a national parc. :D

See also the other two lava-like rocks in the middle. My nice humanoid gives you a impression of scale.

Now on with the desert sandstones and some other cliff stuff and its finished! Leadwerks Engine will be released first because I can upload it here

  4. Thanks. :D

I did some more lava rocks and now thinking about if I do premade rock formations which are basically a combination of the ones I made.

Or if I let the user made them itself. I think drag&drop is easier. Especially for the scaling in Leadwerks its nice. Because there is none...

  5. I think the 150$ I once invested into Leadwerks were one of the best investment I ever made in 3D/CG.

I still use the editor regulary and its not bad although I have no clue about .lua coding or whatever has to do with numbers.

Of course I miss stuff like a solid material editor and the need to reload the editor after some material changes is annoying on a long term if I see how other tools work. But because I see how other tools work in terms of workflow performance I love the Leadwerks editor. Its simple and fast to use.

I hope LE3D won't be a Coder solution only and deliver me the possibility to make great visuals out of the box with the few missing things I would need in LE2.5 now. :o

  6. Nice references there. smile.png

Today I didn't had much time to work on the pack because of a project finishing but this evening I did the first batch of single-rocks and also a test for a dark lava-kind rock. I think it turned out like a meteroid or so. I like it for some reasons..don't know why. I could imagine it will do well with some others of this kind near a lava-stream.

    post-6-0-83768100-1328826223_thumb.jpg

I will now do some land-slides and large formations with them and turn to the next batch. Maybe the round river rocks from the photo or a batch of smaller to use as vegetation support.

  7. Hi I want to share a little teaser for my new model set I work on.

It will be called RocksHD and feature lots of new rocks, stones and cliff models for your game-world.

This time I really want to push it further and do the best I can with my current knowledge.

Each rock will be seamlessly textured, baked from a sculpted high-res ZBrush, have an individual 2048px texture map or a good looking repeating texture for the large cliff sets (maybe with decals to break up tiling).

I will use Nvidia physics in 3dmax to make landslides which look naturally fallen so you just need t odrop it into the editor and have natural looking geometry.

For now I set up a good workflow to bake my normals,AO and Cavity maps from it before taking it to Photoshop and viewport paint all teh stuff together. Like usually I will use it in my own projects so I don't want to produce **** for you. ;)

If you have any wishes you can add them here to the thread so I can take care and include them if its not a glwoing fantasy gem. ;)

  8. The European Nature Pack isn't available for a long time on my site. Some people got it other snot.

I thought people know what models they have on their computer and recognize in the .pdf with all screenshots if they got it in the free Leadwerks period two years ago.

Also this time there is no .gmf format in the pack and I don't advertize it as game-ready for Leadwerks. Leadwerks also got a lot of new users so for most people the content is new. I also got continuing request from people where my NaturePack Europe is gone too and if I will sell it some day again.

However, I feel your point and and maybe would be dissapointed too a bit.

I can of course refund you which is absolutly no problem for me or you will get the next pack for free.

It will be called "RocksHD" and feature rocks/stones again. But more variations and better quality compared to the already available one.

This Nature Pack remains were the last one I had here and mixed with new ones. So from now it will be all new even for "old" Leadwerks users. :)

  9. February is going the birthday celebration month for Pure3d Visualizations Germany.

Pure3d is catering all kind of 3D services and models to clients since 2010 now. Many of you know me and my company and even have packs from my 3d shop. smile.png

To make it a nice month of party I re-launched the new designed 3d model shop coming along with a better user experience, navigation and overall look.

Also all prices have been changed to the better. The well-known model collections for real-time and 3D rendering are now cheaper as ever before.

If you like what you see then just use this voucher for 20% discount at checkout: P3D-ANNIVERSARY

You can try before you buy of course. Each category has one free model. smile.png

I also have special optimized furniture for CG usage and games.

    Let’s celebrate: http://shop.pure3d.de wink.png

    EDIT:

A brand-new 3d pack just hit shop. The "Vegetation Starter Collection" features 27 mixed plants, bushes and trees to set your scene up the awesome way! Here you go.

Don't miss the .pdf with all eye-candy in: http://shop.pure3d.de/107-vegetation-starter-collection.html

  10. I did try ArBuz's tools that is the pic on the bottom it just hast grass texture on it. I don't think it works in 2012 of 3dsmax. also I did adjust every thing in uu3d that is another pic there and eveything looks great in uu3d then when it is exported still not right.

It works very well with max2012. I sue it with single materials an multi-mat material. Seems you did something worng with your material name. From material editor your material has to be the same name like your .mat in leadwerks.

    Another thing:

I have the same problem with smoothing groups. I export with FBX2012 from 3dmax, disable export smoothing. With FBX I get face errors after the .gmf export from UU3D. Only .ase works at the moment with the mesh.

  11. For some reasons my model imported well into UU3D but the export to .gmf doesnt work properly because some polygones are scattered and stretched several meters over the scene.

Only .ase import to UU3D and then to .gmf works fine without face errors.

I use two UV-Sets and .obj doesnt support it I think?

Today I will try your recommendation with the Autosmooth faces.

  12. A quick and not eadwerks related in first place but Unwrap3d. :)

Everytime I export my model to .gmf I get a smoothing group applied all over my mesh. In 3ds max I have a smoothing wit Zero. But as soon as I import it into UU3D I get this 90° smoothing everywhere. And also in my .gmf later.

Can I change it somewhere in UU3D? I wasn't able to find a function there.
