  1. I'll tell you. I created a beautiful landscape with assets I brought in from another engine as well as flora and fauna from Leadwerks. Once I turned on SSAO, Blur, godrays and other effects, the engine started to really look good. Water needs to be improved, but everything else looks really good. Mike
  2. Can you alter the amplitude of water? I would like to make water waves with foam if possible. Is there a water shader available for Leadwerks? I will need pools, lakes, quiet rivers and massive ocean swells. Unity, UE4, Cryengine and S2 can all do this. Can Leadwerks? Mike
  3. I have not seen that one - just the fps tutorial. Every time I try a new FPS level, the maps are the tutorial ones. What is the name of the map that has the 'crawlers'? On the other hand, I did find the terrain tutorial and added the nature assets I bought and have done some cool stuff with all of that. I also moved over models I bought from Unity and Game Guru and those come into easily. No problem with static meshes at all. Mike
  4. All I know is a long time ago there were really good samples and projects - right now, there's nothing. I cannot find a single good demo project to load in and show my team. Mike
  5. And where is texturemate? I don't see it in the store/workshop. Mike
  6. I am trying to create terrain and I am noticing that I have almost no textures. Are there any texture packs that come with LE? Terrain textures? Thank you. Mike
  7. So I was able to get fbx to work in Mixamo and I was able to get two animations working. HOWEVER, if I attempt to texture the various materials within the Leadwerks model editor, then the animations break. Just the eyes animate or it just stands still and does nothing. I am stuck as to how to rig, animate and get the model into Leadwerks fully textured and working. Mike
  8. My big problem is that if I upload as obj, it compresses all materials down to one. In FBX, it comes in with color but never offers the With Skin option on export, which is all important here. I was able to get a non-textured object rigged and animated in Mixamo and then working in Leadwerks. I was also able to add a walk animation to the existing rigged model, but with no chance of texturing it properly (I have both a texture atlas/UV Map and separate textures and neither will work without all the materials being converted to one - I need them separated out so I can apply the correct texture to the correct material group. How do I do this? Mike
  9. OK, that worked. I did all the steps and added ONLY one idle animation and he came into Leadwerks with no textures, but does animate in the idle position. Now, how do I get the rest of the animations in there? Mike
  10. Do I just add ONE animation and no more. If so, how do I get the rest of the animations in the character's file? Mike
  11. I just cannot get Mixamo to import the turtle (or any model) with textures, even though they are perfect in UU3D before I upload and when I export the rigged obj file from Mixamo to fbx - no animations are saved with it even though I went through all the trouble of adding animations and saving them to the character. I just don't know what I am doing wrong here. Mike
  12. OK. I will try that later today. Thank you. Mike
  13. Choose one animation? How do I get all of them in there afterwards? Mike
  14. Make sure you have a kick *** video card. Get a Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 or a GTX 1070 or 1080 - that'll do it. Make sure you have tons of RAM - I have 32GB per machine. Make sure you have a great CPU - a Core i7 quad or octocore will do it. It would be wise to have a HD 1920x1080 or better yet, 4K screen. My gaming laptops have those cards, RAM, CPU and both HD on one and 4K on the other. Armed with these specs, I can play anything at ultra everything and all games look AMAZING. S2 engine has the prettiest graphics I have ever seen in a indie engine and look incredible on my machines - too bad it crashes all the time. UE4 also looks great. Unity looks really good. If Leadwerks has a fantastic renderer, then it SHOULD look good with the above specs. I started a thread on amazing look Leadwerks demos so I can see just how good the engine is. Mike
  15. When I was deciding to buy Leadwerks (again), there were all kinds of really amazing scenes in the gallery and videos. I was hoping Leadwerks (through STEAM) came with these demos - but it didn't. I bought the nature pack and the sci-fi corridors DLC and no demos showing those off (and I think I double purchased because I THINK these packs are the work of a 3D artist I have unlimited downloads for (Arteria 3D). Where can I download these demos - for example, the nature / forest scenes. I want to be wowed. More importantly, I want to wow my team and convince them that Leadwerks is the right engine for our projects. Unity has been a total pain in the tush, I don't like UE4's workflow, Coppercube just cannot be used for serious games, Game Guru is great but lots of things keep getting broken after updates and S2 crashes every 2 minutes but looks freakin AMAZING! Please tell me I can create games that look as good as any of S2's demos!!! I looked on the workshop, in the store - no amazing cool knock your socks off demos. Long ago, (pre-STEAM) Leadwerks came with cool demos. Where are these elusive demo projects? Mike
  16. Do you want me to send you the original obj with textures - pre-rigged? Mike
  17. I brought it into Blender and this is what I see: It has texture, rigging and everything - just no animations.
  18. I can send you what I downloaded direct from Mixamo - what I send you is what Leadswerks converted. Mike
  19. Privately, yes. I licensed these and uploading publicly would probably be a problem. Mike
  20. If anyone would help me, I could send you what I have and if you could make it work in Leadwerks, that would be stellar. However, I would rather figure this out since I have a TON of characters to rig and animate. Mike
  21. I don't use Blender - cannot learn its interface. I do have Ultimate Unwrap Pro and Fragmotion. I also have Modo 10, but it's a bit complicated for this. Same with Shade 14 Pro. Carrara 8.5 Pro I know, but it's not very good at exporting. Mike
  22. Just so you know, these are very custom characters - a turtle, monkey, cat, etc. These are biped animals. Not humans or humanoids. Mike
  23. Because when the exported fbx from mixamo which includes the animatons in the file they are stripped out when imported into leadwerks. No animations. Just the rigged model. This is very frustrating. Mike
  24. In Mixamo, I do not get a option to export to Leadwerks. Am I missing something here? Mike
