As for me the two most lightweig fast,stable,and flexible is 1st! KDE and 2nd Cinnamon.
BTW:Right now for a little change im usin LinuxMint with its Cinnamon Enviroment for a little change after a long time in KDE Neon (Recomended Distro!!). -

Okay..! Now i'm just installed the MVS and some components to make it works..!! The client starts smooth... but there is NO updates on a update tab,its says that (License is not active). So eather message is for: Projects,and in a Billing tab is fulled with red "X" marks of missbehaving fetures... I guess is couse of Pre-order like you says before..)
So enleast my fobias dissmists ))) and i'll waight for the normal releas )

I'm check it now... the UltraClient is 1.0.1 version..
maybe i lost my focusing and i cant find the download section to redownload it..( -
When i find a free time.... I will try to delete the settings file in a directory "C:\ProgramData\Ultra Engine\settings.json"....
I make ya know if there is any progress of issue remans. -

For exact i dont know what version it is (couse i lost the link for redownload it to verify what version is) and at the time of wrighting this answer i'm on my working Linux mashine... and in a local libraries (in dowload directory i have only the very first file "UltraClient.exe" and "Ultra Material Editor.exe" without any sufix numbers.

From the day than ill purchase the new engine 06/05/2023 ill face the "Authentication faild" problem (((
even now (since im returned from my vacantions) its the same...((I thought that might be the app "SimpleWall" caused the issue but the UltraClient is in a exeption group of the restrictions... and still does not connect - authenticate to start up... Any help will be good
UPD: Cause the Linux edition is still in WIP ill give a try to Win edition (just to toutch it and taste some goodie..) but it sims not my luck afterall ((

This is not a concept art or hi-res ... this is a gxl of my project, guys...) the pictures is from Blender,render algorithm Evee.
Ill tried of course on LE4.6 but the shader materials PBRs is some difficult process to get the needed result as on sorce
model.. So as soon as be the Linux build of UltraEngine (btw: all have purchasing this today!! even if it still for Win builds.)..
And maybe we seen an active realtime actions...))

Ill think that the supporting of Linux distros will be more eficient if the core targeting will be not the Ubuntu as the official linux distro.. cost as mentioned before by "reepblue"
and actualy his words was "..There are lot of concerns in where Ubuntu is going..." As we see the release with realese have a bunch of differences as a problem with libs and brokens depedesies and as a performance isues and differences.. so i think this isues will dissapere ar will dramaticaly dropt if the Debian core will by selected as a major distro target cost its a parent of many distros and builds like Ubuntu/LinuxMint/MX/Elementary, and etc..)

LE wont run and it dies right after launch.. (it show up the splash for a cople of seconds and crashes).. here is the logs from terminal

1-st material is a default "material" of a object or whatever model in the 3D space of your favorite 3D redactor (i.e: Blender) and it could have ANY color you like.
2-nd Texture is a surface diffuse/normal/specular color based on the texture itself (except the normal map parallax and specular textures cost it use the effect of it purpose and NOT the color that its have!
And 3-rd... how you can be a game-dev or 3D designer that did known the simple and based rule of that? ) -

I just tried LE in Ubuntu 16.04 and the texture editor opened just fine when I double-click different textures. What distro are you using?
Those problem appears on Debian 9..
On the Ubuntu 16.4 everything works fine..)

You mean the model and the texture ? i think there is no need cost the problem is not only with inserted but also with the preloaded
FPS,Marble etc.. games.. when i clicking on the textures the LE crash as i report before...
but if its so nessesery on that il can provide the model )

Them major problem with NVIDIA's drivers for linux is that high recomended to install them from repository or from build ".deb"
package to avoid crashing of the xserver-xorg be cost in the repositorys (as far ill known they apply som critical patches and fixes)..

In case with the RIG with multy monitor setting (realy it is wright?!) ) Then its ONWAY TICKET))) to KDE !!!
If some one ask why??) then use it first to see it for yourself and then we talk In outher DE you need a lammerstick of third parties or external addon to use for different monitor its own different background images or slideshows or even a video background (YES in KDE we known how to do it... with cost som specs of GPUs skills))
