lighting problem

Purchased le3 yesterday and have set up a small test level. When I added a point light and rendered lighting in medium quality the scene was covered with a deep purple tinge when I ran it.

 

If I render lights in high quality the whole scene has a yellow tinge. I have not altered light defaults.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

amd quad core 4 ghz / geforce 660 ti 2gb / win 10

Blender,gimp,silo2,ac3d,,audacity,Hexagon / using c++

oIn my case the yellow effect blots out all textures into a plain yellow blob that covers everything uniformily.

Dirctional light or point light its all the same.
