Clown Example

This map should be used with the FPS template. It requires Arteria3D's clown model:

http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/viewitem?fileid=601073788

Here's what I did:

  • Drag the clown model into the scene.
  • Set the mass to 10.
  • Set the physics mode to "Character".
  • Set the collision mode to "Character"
  • Set the character rotation value to 180, since the model is facing in the negative direction of the Z axis.
  • Add the MonsterAI script.

The final trick to making the clown interactive is to rename some of his animations. Open the clown in the model editor, select the animations tab, and find animations for the following actions:

  • idle
  • run
  • walk
  • death
  • attack1
  • attack2

You can rename an animation by right-clicking on it and selecting the "Rename" menu item.

Also, make sure you have built a navmesh for your map, if you aren't using my example (Tools > Build NavMesh).

When done, save the model. Run your map and the clown will attack.

My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
