I've got a small suggestion that I think could make the Map Editor even more user-friendly.

How about adding a feature where users can easily group selected objects? It would be super handy to just press Ctrl + G or have a right-click option to "Group Objects" when you've got a bunch of elements to manage. This way, it becomes much easier to handle multiple objects as a single unit, especially in more complex scenes.

It's just a thought to enhance the workflow and make Ultra Engine an even smoother experience.

Whether automatically or manually, when users select an object in one viewport, it would be beneficial to navigate the other three viewports to focus on the selected object.

Imagine effortlessly gliding through your Ultra Engine projects whether it's automatic magic or your click, selecting an object in one viewport instantly aligns the other three.

    This could be implemented through:

    Automatic Sync:
Instant synchronization across viewports upon object selection.

    Right-Click to Align:
Enable a right-click option that, when selected, instantly aligns the other viewports with the chosen object.

    Shortcut Key/Toggle:
Introduce a keyboard shortcut or toggle option in settings for user control.

Benefits include improved workflow efficiency and a more intuitive experience when working with specific objects.

In the other 3 viewports did you try switching back and forth between 3D at least twice?  That did it for me.  Default -> 3D -> Front -> 3D = white.

Yeah, you're right. It indeed turns white when switching back and forth between 3D views. Default -> 3D -> Front -> 3D triggers the issue for me as well.

Interesting. I also have a 3060 and I never got this. However, I don't religiously update my driver's like I should.

The bug tends to occur when I switch from top/back/left views to the 3D view. Moving the viewport manually seems to trigger the update, and the white background disappears. It seems like there might be an issue with updating or refreshing.

If you get the C++ version it includes Lua and will include future supported languages.

I have not looked into C# in detail yet and I cannot guarantee when/if it will be added, but I am pretty sure I want to support it. Some users reportedly have working implementations of C# with Ultra but I have not personally tried them out myself.

So it will probably happen but nothing is official until its official.

So, if i understand correctly, the Ultra Engine Pro Edition will support C# and other languages in the future.

It will support Mac. I have run earlier builds on Mac. I don't have a release date for that in mind right now, because it does not make sense to do multiple platforms when the updates are coming so frequently.

It's good to hear that Mac support is in consideration.

so im guessing it will support Apple Silicon ?

    1. No. Steam Direct allows anyone to publish on Steam, and this is a better path for developers.

    2. Yes!

    3. I don't plan on integrating Steam Workshop for a few reasons.

    • Ultra is offered both on Steam and as a standalone, whereas Leadwerks was Steam exclusive.
    • Steam Workshop has never worked very well for me, and has always been slow-loading.
    • I'm trying to focus on making the import pipeline the best it can be. Instead of trying to build up a repository of 3D models, I would rather just make it easy to import models from an existing site like Sketchfab. Maybe a Sketchfab browser will be integrated in the future.

    4. Plugins and editor extensions are supported now.

Thanks for the info! Good to hear about C# support. The decision on Steam Workshop makes sense. Great to know about the existing plugin support.

    Hello,

I have a few questions regarding Ultra Engine:

1.Will Ultra Engine have a game launcher like Leadwerks?

2.Are there plans to support C# in the future?

3.When Ultra Engine is released on Steam, will it include workshop support for user-created assets?

4.Are there going to be any plugin supports?

Thanks for any insights you can provide!
