  1. Hello, New to this software. I've successfully imported an FBX with bone animation and it's awesome. My question is, if I animate a character with a run cycle, but then I want him to be holding a weapon, is it possible to override the animation only in his arms, replacing the animation with a pose to hold a weapon? What about only animating the character's facial bones for talking? Can the facial speech values of one animation clip be added to a run cycle animation clip? How about blending between a walk cycle and a run cycle? Is that possible?
  2. Yeah... Mine looks just like that now. Here's the scene you requested:
  3. Hmm... I put the two other begins back to start. Still no good. All black. Not that there's anything wrong with black.. Black is beautiful.
  4. I changed three instances of "start" (one starting with upper-case S) to begin. The game still runs fine in Leadwerks but publishes out to a black screen still. :/
  5. Hello, I did a successful bit of animation in Leadwerks. I tried publishing it as a standalone but it does not resemble what I see when when running the "game" from Leadwerks. It just shows a black screen. I tried exporting to Steam Workshop and it gave the same result. Black screen. Any suggestions?
  6. I got the animation playing in the "game." I tried publishing it to a standalone file but that just plays a black screen. :/
  7. Oooh that worked! Thank you! I made my first "videogame!" It's a tube that sits there and I can see how long I can stand staring at it. Gonna see if I can figure out how to make it play it's animation.
  8. Can someone help me get the camera working? When I run the game with the TestTube all I get is a black screen.
  9. Okay this is super weird... I made a new model with UVs.. Added bones, animated them and then exported it out as FBX. Leadwerks imported everything perfectly; UVs included. I have no idea why the TestBall's UVs didn't work but TestTube's UVs worked. Feel free to put this in your games if you want a weird dancing tube. TestTube.fbx
  10. I don't think Leadwerks imports Collada.
  11. I used Lightwave because that's my main 3D tool. I've been using it for 15 years. It has an FBX export but clearly whatever it is exporting is not working well with Leadwerks. Does Leadwerks import Collada?
  12. If I want my character to smile, or speak with the mouth making speech phonem shapes... Is this possible with Leadwerks? If so, how can I import animated envelopes for these morphs into Leadwerks?
  13. Okay thank you. I used Lightwave to convert the .obj to .fbx. I guess it's not fully compatible. I could probably use the FBX exporter for Blender for simple things like test balls, but if I make character animation in Lightwave I'll need to find a way to successfully export that to Leadwerks. Hmmm...
  14. Hello, I am very new to Leadwerks.. I made a test ball object and a normal map for it. I imported them both successfully into Leadwerks. I figured out how to tell the shader to load Diffuse+Normal. But I cannot find where to apply the UV Map. I applied a test UV Grid image to the diffuse and it filled the entire surface with the colour of the map at 0,0 on the UV map. it's almost as if the UV is not there. Could anyone take a look at this and tell me what step I am missing? I will include the original .obj version if you need to compare it to the FBX. TestBall.fbx TestBall.obj
  15. I would definitely be interested in your help, Rick!
