Suddenly when picking up weapons from the FPS Weapons Pack the weapons and arms are casting shadows... I don't think this happened before.
-
Ok. I see... Neither mp3 or ogg is allowed for uploading for some reason even if zipped. Seems a little wasteful to me, unless I wanted to provide the stems for customized mixing. Which I would if I still had the project files. Oh, well...

Thank you.
I will, but why .wav? Those are very large files aren't they?

Here's a couple of old tracks I made a couple of years ago. Hope it can be use to someone. There's plenty more if there is interest. I'm just getting back into music composition, so I just thought I'd share.
Thanks.

Hey! I actually managed to make it work all by my lonesome. Posting the script here for reference.
Had to remove the [index] from the jump sound, but I assume that's because there's only a single sound for that event(?)
-
Coding isn't exactly my forte, but I really want to learn. I'm confused.
So, self.source = Source:Create()
Must be added to every sound loaded, or just once, because it's one player controller that emits the sound?
Does anyone have a modified FPSPlayer.lua I can look over and perhaps learn from?

Excellent! Thank you.

A quick and dirty method is to place the objects as a child underneath a parent object in the Scene filters panel and then set the Hide option in the parent's Appearance tab.
Cool. Thanks
Worked beautifully.

Is it possible to hide a group of brushes/ objects so they don't clutter the view? I tried moving things into a filter, but it doesn't seem to give any options to hide anything.

No worries. They didn’t drop support, they are working on new driver version for Linux systems, because catalyst never worked. New driver will be open source and, supported by AMD and community. I think it was to much for them to support buggy catalyst, so they decided to rewrite whole driver. First release will be out in the end of this summer i think... They just was not in time for 16.04 release date. Just stay on 15.10/14.04 until release of new driver. If you google, you will find more information on this.
Thanks for the additional info. Just like to commend AMD for their efforts. Seems like they're taking the platform seriously.

Okay. Thanks. I didn't know this before installing the 16.04 beta, so I can't run Leadwerks now with the open-source driver. But I've ahad n insane increase in performance in games like The Talos Principle, The Long Dark and Firewatch with that driver. Guess, I'll just have to wait.

What will happen with Leadwerks now that the proprietary AMD drivers are no longer supported in the upcoming LTS release of Ubuntu?
-
I've exported a model from Blender (2.76b) using the add-on, but when importing it into Leadwerks it appears without any texturing. Is this right? It is unwrapped and everything and textures are applied in Blender.
Tried to import the textures separately and making materials, but they don't seem to map properly on the object itself, and the ambient occlusion doesn't appear at all.
Need a step by step guide, if anyone has the time. Thanks.

I restarted again. And they are all there now. Cool.

There's no difference here. Still just the FPS Weapons pack.

I'm trying to set up a system where all the software I generally use just works flawlessly. Easier said than done it seems. Just discovered that LE will not launch under a kde session. I installed cinnamon just to check and it will indeed run under cinnamon. Is this a GTK/ Qt issue? I know that just stock Ubuntu is supported, but I'd like to know if anyone else had that issue and got it fixed.

I'm on Linux too and can confirm. I have all the DLCs, but only the Fps Weapons Pack shows up in the DLC list.
-
Been playing around with the Fps weapons and zombie DLCs. And I noticed a faint square outline around the bullet hole decals. Can anyone else see this? I'm OCD about these things, so that makes my brain hurt.
There is also a problem where the said decals appear stretched across certain models.
Also, is there anything I can do about the sky shader or the brushes it's painted on to make them not accept bullet hits?
-
I had a framerate problem too, though I have a pretty low-end video card so I wasn't expecting much. However, switching off the Catalyst AI seemed to give a huge fps increase.

I would like to download docs myself in an official package. For now, you'll have to use an internet site downloading tool. Those come with a possibility to restrict a depth level of downloaded links as well to restrict the download to the domain in question. The easiest thing would be, in my opinion, to start from the API index and simply download one level depth links. If you are using Linux, then wget is an excellent tool to do that. Otherwise, you can try this nice tool for Firefox.
Cool. Thanks.

Is it possible to easily download all the documentation? I have a flaky internet connection sometimes and it's a bit frustrating when I get an idea and want to know how to do things.

I'm using Ubuntu Mate (https://ubuntu-mate.org/) at the moment (14.04 LTS 64bit) and I'm loving it. It has a couple of annoying things about it, but overall it's amazing and less resource intensive than the Unity DE.

Brilliant! Thanks!
But am I right in assuming this does not apply to brushes? EDIT: Or terrain for that matter?

Shooting at the Mercenary Soldier (dlc) causes this error. Didn't happen before the last update.
