Andy Gilbert
I'm reposting this as the admin response doesn't really correspond to the bug. I am referring to parenting models then attatching scripts. Not just movements in the editor. But I can no longer reply to my original thread so I'm reposting... When you parent an object in the editor all works fine, in the editor. But if you attatch a script to move the parent or child only the one you set to move atually moves, the parent or child does not. BUT if you parent a model to a camera, then attatch a script to the camera that moves it, the child moves too. So it works for some but not for others? Which one should it be? Thread-> http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/topic/7198-parenting-in-editor/ Andy The good news about computers is that they do what you tell them to do. The bad news is that they do what you tell them to do. Leadwerks Game-Ready 3D Models:https://sellfy.com/gib3d
Admin
Can you please provide an example and explain how the expected and actual behavior are different? Otherwise I have to guess and try to recreate what I think you might be experiencing.
YouGroove
I guess : Add model1 Add model 2 Parent model 1 to model 2 Attach a script to model 2 to move model 2 using keyboard. Running the game model 2 moves, but model1 don't move. And model 1 should move as it is parented to model 2. Stop toying and make games
Admin
I appreciate the bug report, but without an example I can run it is futile to try to guess and recreate the issue. It could easily be an unrelated mistake but I have no idea without looking. This is like asking a mechanic to tell what is wrong with your car without showing him the vehicle.
