I hope this is the right place to post this but i have tried everything now to get a simple test model i created in 3d coat, gave bones in 3ds max and animated in motion builder but i cant get the animation working in leadwerks.

ive read on the internet about the need for a animation shader(?) but i cant figure out where to ad this to the model. ive tried in motionbuilder, 3ds max, and ultimate unwrap3d pro but i cant find it anywhere. i checked the export options in all programs but cant find it. could some one please help me? ive read the model and animation tutorial but my animations just wont show up in the animation edditor in leadwerks. instead i get the non moving model with 1 animation thats 93 frames without any movement.

what am i doing wrong? all tips or tricks are appreciated.

(to place it in leadwerks i tried both draging the fbx file into leadwerks, turning it first into a mdl file with the fbx to mdl aplication and ive tried converting the fbx to mdl in ultimate unwrap. everytime i get the model place able in leadwerks but without an animation)

i hope i described it clear enough with this info, if not, please say so.

also if this isnt the right place to ask for help on this subject, please let me know where to go. i normaly dont realy like bothering others with probaply stupid questions like this but since ive tried everything, googled, and nothing seems to work, and since without animated characters the game im hoping to make will be imposible to make, i realy need to get this working.

ok here is the file. nothing fancy, just a simple walk animation. if things like the hips look weird its normal. i made this fast to see if i could get it into leadwerks so ill know if i can use models like this or if i have to do somthing else to it. when i know how to import stuff propperly ill remake all the bones, attatch the mesh correctly in it and reanimate it with brekel kinect. but for now, its simply dragged a bit with mobu so it looks odd. just need to know how to get the walk animation inside leadwerks smile.png

edit: i cant attatch the file. i think its to big. its 7.698KB. let me find a place to upload it and ill add a link to it.

:o i almost cant beleve it! while i was constantly trying to find the animation shader in the export options of all the programs, its simply inside leadwerks like you said and it works! thanks! 100000 times thanks! i knew i was doing somthing wrong but i would have had to try things out for much more hours and even then i might not have found out how it works.

thanks for the fast reply and the working answer! now i know it works i can start working on the final models and animations. biggrin.png
