  1. Sounds really neat. I'll be looking forward to it!
  2. Why can't you release Leadwerks with a cutting tool then?
  3. Not just windows. This is one of the best features of the Source Engine which I've been making maps for, for about 4 years. It should be quite easy to program, and it would make the engine so much easier to make pretty details simply with brushes. I don't understand why Leadwerks isn't that art-friendly at all, such ad CryEngine, Source and Unity is.
  4. I'd really REALLY like to see a cut-tool in Leadwerks, such as there is in Hammer. It'd be so much easier to be able to work with, and developing would definitely become a lot more fun. It's so much easier to simply make quick windows like that, instead of using a third party modeling software to something as basic as just a few blocks. But with the cut-tool, you could also make rectangles, houses, circles, everything - just like in Hammer. Please consider this, as I've seen threads from 2009 on the old forum, asking for a cut-tool.

It looks really good. Formidable shaders! It would be very nice with some decals and level-variation though.
  6. Yes, that's what we've been doing with our other small projects. Thank you for the tip though, and we'll definitely do it that way!
  7. Looking good for sure. Continue the great contributions!
  8. Hello guys! I'm all new to these forums, but so far it's quite promising and I see a lot of happy and optimistic people here! I've been making plenty of maps on the Source Engine and been messing around with Unreal, Unity and Cry Engine as well. I finally found a engine that reminds me of my number one favorite - the Source Engine, and therefore I ordered a copy of Leadwerks 3 almost immediatly. For a couple of years I've been developing a lot of server content with a couple of people I've met, and finally we have decided to push ourselves a bit and actually start on something big - therefore we are going to start on this project. We have only been brainstorming a bit, discussing engines, theme and atmosphere so far, and it really seems like we are going to head for the horror theme. The team (so far) is consisting of a story-writer, 1 modeler/2d artist, 1 coder who will be on and off the project (busy with Unity), and me as a mapper, and some people going on and off with the project, providing us with some help. If YOU don't have anything to do, and is simply messing around with this engine, feel free to send me a private message to join in on our project, or simply want to hear some information about it, either it be simply interest, or maybe because you would be interesting in developing with us. Once we've gotten a few screenshots together, I'll make sure to post it in the "showcase" category!
  9. Not bad, not bad! I'll definitely give this a shot!
  10. Looks nice. Kind of reminds me of a mix between Half Life and Counter Strike - art-wise.
  11. When will trial users have the possibility of full support to test everything out, as I don't feel quite secure paying 200$ yet for a engine, which I do not know whether fits me or not.
  12. Hello guys, I just downloaded Leadwerks with my team, as we are planning to test out the capabilities. I simply can't find any documentation to import height maps, so could anyone please send me a tutorial of it? I already made the heightmap file, so I just need to know where this "Import" button is. Thank you in advance.
