See attached image. I want to make this entire brick one piece of asphalt, but when I apply my material to it, a bunch of square asphalts appear. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks! P.S. I am new, so I don't know much.

First off, I'd love if you guys could tell me the difference between a texture and a material. Secondly, what is the best size for a texture or material if I'd make it using Paint.Net? (a square? e.g. 100pixels by 100pixels?). Thanks!
