I'm adding a window to indicate to the user this is happening . Thank you.Yes and I fixed the problem myself (not really but I sped-up the process) It needed to generate the files into the MyGame thing in Documents, so I copied that there before trying to fix but it just needed to validate it and I was impatient lol.
For anyone reading this, if it doesn't appear starting up first time just wait.
I hid a bunch of other messages because it was hijacking the thread and I couldn't even find the OP's last post.

I ran Leadwerks on a brand new laptop and it had no issues. If anyone else has experienced this problem please speak up. Otherwise this is going to be considered closed.
-
The first step is to update your drivers. If that does not work please tell us your driver version. Leadwerks should work fine on all OpenGL 4 hardware.
-
Please do not hijack bug report topics. The OP found a fix for his problem, and the editor has also been updated to default to discrete graphics.
-
The standard version with C++ support is not available yet. FYI, there was a small patch that fixed it so the editor would preferentially choose the discrete card when an Intel/Nvidia combo was in use. Was your card an ATI model?
If the Steam system allows upgrades of this nature, then an upgrade to the standard edition will be available on Steam when it is ready. I think this can be done on Steam, I just don't know for sure because I haven't tried it yet.

I have not looked at MediaWiki in a while. The problem was it was a magnet for viagra ads. Has this changed or is the situation still the same?
-
It's always taking place, with the exception of animated models, although there is a way we could instance up to 60 of those...future development.Whoaaa, hang on, does that mean that hardware instancing is automatically taking place? Always, or as soon as gl_InstanceID is used in a shader for the object?
I guess we really need some clarification here from Josh how this works!

If you guys want a place for community-created tips and info, I think Steam Guides might be the best approach:

You can also access the "entities" member of the world, which is just a standard C++ list.
-
I have removed the "Assets" link the in main menu. The problem is people are asking for access to the files, but most of the stuff there is for the old version, so it will just end up making people confused. It's still available here:
http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/files
This is a temporary measure until I figure out what to do about it.

A simple playable single-player game in three months is doable. Of course I don't know how well you will take to it, but that's not an unrealistic goal. The most common mistake is feature-creep; it's easy to get bigger and bigger ideas instead of sticking to a simpler idea and finishing it.

Debug mode will be much slower than release mode, but there does seem to be some room for optimization still. I think it's CPU-bound and has to do with the character controller, so that can still be improved.
-
Yes, that seems to be the case. There's likely some inefficiency in the character collision that can be improved.
-
Thank you. The problem is a divide by ten that is occurring, or not occurring, somewhere.
-
There's an option for "recursive" viewing which is enabled by default.
-
Use a one-shot particle emitter + ForEachEntityInAABBDo to apply a force to every object within the explosion radius.
You can also do animated particles if you wish.

If there is significant demand for it, we will add mobile support on Steam.

The AI seems to have some room for optimization still. For some reason I hit some slowdown there I haven't yet identified.
-
As an immediate fix, you can now access the rest of the forum. Will add you to the developer group shortly.
-
Please email support at leadwerks dot com from the email address you used to order. If you have it, send your PayPal transaction ID. They have all been sent.

I think that's a good idea, Codeape.
Looks like I will be anwering questions on the Steam forum here most of the day. Feel free to join the discussion here:

Added some more aggressive hiding of the inactive panels. This should do it, will let you try it tomorrow before updating.
