  1. The animations are played in milliseconds, right?
  2. Hey guys, I was messing around and wanted to give a try at different aspects of the engine. I noticed with the default autopistol prefab that you can fire the pistol before the reloading animation is done. How can I delay it and make it fire later, when the animation is finished? Edit: Also, how do I move the prefab floorplates? I can only rotate them among the axes, not actually drag them once they are placed.
  3. From what I've heard, it's perfectly fine to tinker with and get used to the engine and you could eventually create a debut title with it. It would require a good amount of scripts and prefabs to create the title itself though, but it is entirely possible in LUA and the engine itself. There is a level in the engine that showcases the AI and different events that Josh, one of the developers created and I was amazed at how everything worked and came along nicely.
  4. Oh, I figured he was saying you had to click multiple times to change elevation. I haven't messed around with terrain yet, is it easy to produce somewhat okay terrain?
  5. Yes, I can't do it at the moment, but it would be interesting to try and see the size limit you can publish a map without it being broken. Perhaps make sections that are however much and copy them into increments to see how far you could go. I'll try it tomorrow.
  6. Such as a click and drag so you can swirl it around would be nice, like Warcraft 3's level editor, or Simcity, where you can just click and drag around and edit the map very quickly. It would be a nice addition.
  7. From what I have found, there is a 4 gig limit on .zip files and 16 for ZIP64 files. So theoretically it should be able to contain a 4 gig game, which is quite a lot in my opinion.
  8. So publishing the game outside the workshop would be better I suppose. Plus the demo expires, which means it become inaccessible after awhile.
  9. So when someone who subscribes to the game on the Workshop doesn't need LGE themselves and can just play it from GamePlayer?
  10. Hey guys, Just purchased the engine today on sale, and I was wondering, how would someone play your game? Like what files would you give to them and does Leadwerks generate it's own executable? Thanks for reading! MM
  11. I don't have an i5 at the moment, but I have been looking to get one, and I'm assuming it would have a better integrated GPU.
  12. Is there a way to upgrade to HD graphics 4000 or such? There are plenty of download links, just don't know if it'll cause an error and completely not work. And will OpenGL 4.0 not install or run properly if I did install it? Edit: Will a new i5 solve this problem?
  13. Alright, so I installed the Demo version today and attempted to boot it up. After a couple minutes saying it was loading a sample, an error occurred and said my graphics driver was not compatible and I should update the drivers or see if its compatible. I have an Intel i3-2328M with integrated graphics seeing as my laptop doesn't have a graphics card of it's own. How can I make it work?
  14. Alright, fantastic. I'm surely going to win the auction now, so I should have it the 15th or so. Can you recommend any modeling software, or should I play around with prefabs to get the hang of it, and replace them as I go?
  15. Sweet! So I see now anything is possible, which is great. What I meant for #1 was if it was possible to make movements more "realistic" in a sense.
  16. Hey guys! I have been eyeing LGE for about a year now, just haven't had the funds to purchase it, but now with the Steam Auction, there's a good chance I'll have a copy(thanks for donating all of them btw!). I had a couple questions pertaining to the game engine. 1) Can you smooth everything and make everything look better, over time? I've seen videos and such, I like the graphics and animations, but they could be a bit smoother imo, so it'd be very nice to optimize them and make them look better. 2) Can you implement different survival based systems, such as degrading food, water, temperature, and other things that are affected by the environment? That's all I got for now, I'll most likely post more as I wonder more about what I want to do. I plan on making a survival game for myself, like The Long Dark, but the way I want it to be. Maybe I'll end up posting it somewhere or something, but atm it's just for me to play with and enjoy. Thanks for the help! Brian
