  1. This is more or less a public message for Josh.

So I was Wondering if Josh could do a round of Polls after every mayor release (3.4, 3.5, 3.6...) with features he plans to implement in the future, and give us the opportunity to pitch in on what we (the users of LE) want to see.

this should not be taken as democracy, more of an alignment of interests of what Josh wants to implement and what users want to see.

  2. This pool is great, Josh, you should create more Pools to see if what your customers want align with what you plan to do ;) (just saying)

Other Problems posed by RPG is that there is not just 1 kind of RPG, there is OpenWorld, Staged, Action, Racing, Plataform....almost anything can be turned into RPG, and i guess what most people have in mind when they think of RPG is TES(the Elder Scrolls), NeverWinter, The Witcher Series.

So by having Modules that can be added to existing project you don't really need templates, you just need logic add-ins (now i am just talking out my...) so we could have some check boxes when creating a project stating what we want in, example:

I want to create a Racing Game with RPG Elements (Inventory, Experience, Powers..) but also the ability to make it a 3D Platformer (think of a Transformers Racing RPG). if i use single template, i would not be able to accomplish this easily, but if i have the ability to just select what elements i want to work with from different templates this should be easily achieved.

PS: sorry for the mental diarrh...

  3. I would like to see a Landscape/Vegetation Addon something that gives you everything needed to create full landscapes with Rivers, Roads, Grass, Rocks, Boulders, Stump, Shores, Ocean, Trees, Palms, Day/Night Cycle, Rain, Snow. i know we can implement some of those stuff ourselves but it would be nice to have it already done for us and ready to be used.

  4. I think what he is asking is:

if anyone has created a small game/demo that anyone can executed without the need for the editor, so basically a already compiled and published game/demo.

  5. I use Blender, and recommend Blender. not because is free but because it mostly works for all my 3D asset creation purposes.

I tried the trial/education version of Maya, RaySupreme, and they were just hard to get used to, specially since I cannot (or could not find) a way to change key-bindings.

Maya was a pain to install on Ubuntu. there are plenty of tutorials on how to use it.

RaySupreme was really easy to install but I still cant figure out how to use it, and the tutorials available assume you already know your way around the software
