I recently did an uninstall/reinstall. Created a new project using the "Tutorial Samples" template and named it "Tutorials". I loaded the project for the first time and I received an error: Failed to load map "C:/Users/david/Dropbox/Leadwerks/Projects\Tutorials/Maps/start.map". Not sure why some of the slashes are forward and some back slashes in the project name, but this is what it shows in the information window. Loaded "Object Scripts.map" which has the "fan_blades" object, a light and a camera. Started debugging but didn't see fan blades due to an error: "Failed to load model "C:/<my file path>/Leadwerks/Projects/Tutorials/fan_blades.mdl". I have Project path set to "C:/Users/David/Dropbox/Leadwerks/Projects". I'm just not sure why it is looking for assets in the "Tutorials" folder and not the "Tutorials/models/fan" folder where the model has been loaded from. It is in the scene but when I debug I get the error. I also don't know why "start.map" is missing or why it is needed. By the way, I'm loving Leadwerks. I'm really looking forward to working with it.

Darn it, I should have played around with it more. Figured 1.0 was small enough so I didn't bother changing it. Works good, Thank you.

I haven't been able to get 3D World Studio 5.6 to successfully run on Windows 8. I have turned UAC off and installed and run the program in various compatibility modes as administrator and it continues to lock up. It appears to begin loading and the interface will sometimes load but nothing is functional. Anyone have any ideas or experience with this? C++ Runtime Error R6025 - Pure Virtual Function Call

When I am importing .x Models that have planes where textures are drawn, such as a tree with branches in this instance, the plane should be alpha filtered so it isn't visible, but it is showing up black in 3DWS and I can't seem to figure out why, the models and textures are from 3DWS 5.37 builder edition and I moved them over to the new file location in version 5.6. I am no expert, but I've looked the .x file over and checked the .tga texture image and they seem fine to me. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Download the 3DWS 5.60 demo and enter your registration key.
Thanks Metatron! Hadn't thought of that. Seems to have worked just fine. Looks like I just need to move my models and textures and I'm ready to go.

I have 3D World Studio 5.37 Builder Edition and can't seem to find the 5.52 update and the software will not update automatically as it once did. I have a registration Key. Thanks for any help!

I have upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit and installed 3DWS 5.37 Builder Edition I obtained from TGC, and then updated to 5.52 via download from the automatic update, but the Save, Save As, and Export are all greyed out and unavailable in both editions on my OS. I turned off the user account control and re-installed as before using compatibility with Windows XP service Pack 2 on both the setup and executable, to no avail. I have a Dell Inspiron laptop with Dual Core AMD Turion 2.2Ghz and ATI mobility Radeon 4350 HD with 512MB dedicated RAM. System has 4GB RAM. Windows has all recent updates installed. My one concern is the graphics driver I am using is preinstalled, the only other one available from ATI is for Windows 7 beta only, though this should have no bearing on my issue anyway. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
Bad File Location?

sorry about the messy and confusing post. Basically I loaded the "Object scripts.map" map, per the tutorial instructions. It has a fan blade and a camera in the scene. When I click "Run" or "debug" it says the model failed to load and the window is black. It is trying to load the model from the wrong path, yet it is loaded in the scene from the correct location. I don't know where it is getting the path string it is using to load the model from when I run the app. It's the wrong path. Hope this is clearer.
