  1. You talking about Playstation 1 ?

    if (answer == yes)

    {

I got actually an Playstation 3 (for some games only ,uncharted, final fantasy, god of war, (last of us) etc.) and i got better graphics quality in LE2.5 then they PS3 now.

    }

Graphics not my primary, what i really care about is control, speed, effect, also the size of the game when i finish it.

Not sure what to think about this, but the two links you gave there, are links to 'adult' (=p**n) adds. Unless you made these 'games'? blink.pngohmy.png

I didn't see it i'm sorry guy, im using FF browser with block ads thats way i didn't see this porn ads sad.png

    please delete it please

lol wtf classic. Is this a "smart" bot or something smile.png

    I'm really sorry sad.png

  2. I think you need to go back and read through this thread again if you are asking these questions! For one, LE2 has only been stable for the last two years or so and secondly it has a relatively small following compared to some of the bigger engines out there.

    ??

Have you made a game before, in which case how long did it take you and what engine did you use? There is no game engine as such with Leadwerks Engine 2, it's a game engine API, so you first need to write your game engine.

I didn't made any game, yes i use some free engines before and I try to do something but I hate my self, so I decide to transfer to really engines that give me good chance to make something that helping me to upgrade my experiments in designs, also get something new to do in my life.

So i decide to make games by PS,it not really game but you can say it's kind of game made by photshop. the first one was great people love it and other hate it not only the game but also me ^-^.

    ------

the second one I spent over 2 months thinking and working but at end no one could solve it until now.

    ------

Either way, there are sufficient mini games to show what its capable of, I don't see why you would need them to be full games or even published to deduce the general flavour of what's possible and what's not with LE2.

Yes i know how hard to make a game with new idea new things, but all what i want is my to get more information, why this, why that, can do this or that. this help me to knows more about LW. //To see how far can LW make my game done//

    -------------

@Quast: Why you need games to see whats possible ?

Make your own image of the engine by using the demo/engine.

thats what i try to do, make good picture of LW in my mind

I dont care how much games made with Leadwerks because it doesnt give me anything. I like the engine and the community, when i got a question, i always get friendly and reasonable answers. What you want more ?

    some answers that's all

like can LW make games like that on PS1 ?

    --------------

    Do you comprehend English?

    Yes ph34r.png

    -------------

Yes, Leadwerks don't have many finished games as some another engines.

I agree with all guys here that saing Leadwerks2 is API for making your game engine.

Me myself came here with zero knowlege of game making (Blitz3D only, and little 3DSMAX). Till this years Leadwerks primary teach me how things must be done, on it amzing shaders.pak i realy get how GLSL works, and what things must have any game engine. Thanks Josh.

So this not stoped me before (working with lights tutorial is buy me smile.png ), i get it, and start lerning. And till this time it return all it cost to me in money (little not gaming projects), and much more in experience.

I can't say that i'm good game programmer now. But thise days i'm working on my own OpenGL4.2 visualisation API for medical research, in C++ from scratch, and it's all Leadwerks fault, i can't say that make such results without Leadwerks.

At last i can say - Leadwerks is very good engine for learning, and for thouse people ho like to make games, or something pretty render. Difenetley - it possible and fun to make good game with this, but me myself (and i think most part of us here) don't have enought patient for this and free time because of primary job.

    thank you for you'r honest

I hope that LW3 will make one big jump

    ---------------

I don't often say this, but what a ****. Just shut up and make something.

Ok what that think ? what kind ?.

don't do something that you are not intrusting in it, because you just losing you'r time like other.

LW giving you good things so try to make something better not just sitting and eating and then game not complete !!.

I know LW is good because i tried free engines and saw how ***** they are.

  3. So this mean NO GAMES yet !

oh god, all these years without any game, why ?, I thing if just the developer start a small game that will be great to show the power and the level of LW.

Yes there s Demos and some videos in YouTube but that is not enough, I want see what this engine present ? what can do more than other engines.

There's a selection of small games and demos made with Leadwerks in the Assets store. Otherwise, there have been other unpublished games which do not appear there and also one published game HOODWINK which uses some elements of the Leadwerks engine (mainly the renderer).

LE2 has never really reached that critical mass, in terms of users, to generate many games and it's still a releatively young engine too. Maybe LE3 will.

Great, I saw HOODWINK it was really good, but what i couldn't understand it, why since 2006 until now the stuff and developers have not created any game ? is this because the Engine still a relatively young or from you guys feeling that you can't made or show that touch of good games of this generation ?

The fact of the matter is the indie game market has changed, and it would be foolish to release a game only on Windows nowadays.

some games released only on windows and when it become famous the developers move it to other OS, In japan some games not release it in the west because developers from begin they knows for who this game is for, if the west people asked for it they transfer it to them after they got what they work for.

If you focus only in Windows you will succeed and there is no debt the Microsoft with open for you a way to Windows Mobile and Xbox Live.

The fact of the matter is the indie game market has changed

this change is good, better that old days

Description: Josh founded Leadwerks in 2006 in order to build game engines for high-end PC graphics. By 2010, he recognized that mobile graphics were approaching parity with traditional gaming platforms, and he began building a new cross-platform 3D engine capable of scaling to support mobile. Two years later, the author is here to share the lessons he learned and describe the challenges he encountered. Josh will discuss performance bottlenecks, recommended solutions, and a few pleasant surprises he discovered while working with mobile hardware. The challenges of implementing a cross-platform graphics workflow will be discussed, along with some innovations that streamline the development process.

Takeaway: Attendees will gain an understanding of the challenges of building scalable high-end graphics systems for mobile devices. Topics covered will include hardware performance, vendor support for the OpenGL ES 2.0 specification, and the challenges of developing a cross-platform workflow for mobile.

    2006--(4years)--2010--(3years)--2013, I'm waiting for this

  4. Fragmotion is good for animations.

    Thank YOU it's good program

if installing package size is your only concern, then I believe it shouldnt be..fact that 3dsmax is so large is because of massive support it delivers to you as a user..its not just tool for animation but also modelling, and simulation too..you could rig entire scene of yours with physics, capture it and use in your game, and so on..possibilities are endless...bottom line is..if size of price tag is not problematic, then, installer package size is last thing you should worry about..

    you right

next time when i have good computer for only me i will not think about size

    thank you

  5. Hi Guys

    My seven questions is:

1/ When Leadwerks Engine 3 will released ?

2/ What is that height graphics i reach when i use Leadwerks Engine 2.43 to build house ?

3/ If i buy Leadwerks Engine 2.43 can i get Leadwerks Engine 3 free ?

4/ If there is a game in my my pc and i want to hack or change test or edit some thing can i do that with LE 2.43 ?

5/ Can some one please make Fountain for me ?

6/ I want see fire like wood burning with smoke, can some do it please ?

7/ How is the shadow and shining looking ?

I hope to see the answers for all this questions :)

  6. Quadros are for rendering old CAD programs. They might work with Leadwerks, but they aren't designed for games. The GEForce series is designed for modern graphics.
Quadro graphics cards are Nvidias workstation cards, typically used for CAD and DCC rather than games. GeForce better suited for games and will be cheaper too.

    Thank you for respond :D

now i decide to buy NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580. it's good right ?

and also when i make search i find:

    Gainward GTX 580

    Palit GTX 580

    EVGA GTX 580

    Asus GTX 580 DirectCU II

    Gainward GTX 580 Phantom

    Zotac GeForce GTX 580

MSI GeForce GTX 580 Twin Frozr

which one its good for me ! :)
