So... i have sounds, i downloaded them to the leadwerks project im using them with.. they are wav. format... now on my media player the sounds work but in leadwerks when i go to run or debug it gives the error "failed to load sound, Unsupported bit rate 24" anyone know what that means/how to fix?image.thumb.png.68709c6897c7cad50c424b428788c45b.png

    how do we check this? what line is it at? im having this issue and i fixed everything else.. it just likes moving backwards.. (yes the navmesh works and yes the physics are set right i just need this tid bit of info on this one..)

Hi.. id like to try to make acid.. but im not really sure how to go about it and i couldnt find any article on it as a starting point.. perhaps someone would be kind enough to give me an idea of what to set up and how for an acid pool? (basically standing acid in a container... will have to be colored.. and ill have to figure out smoke particles for it.. (i suck at both but anyway..)) but yeah if anyone could help give ideas or a solve id be so thankful

    so.. question, why have that as an option even?.. the point of it i would have thought was that.. no offense but i would have figured and took it to mean that you could do one of the following: 1 make it public and let everybody in, 2 limit it to just friends, 3 private, no one sees it.. so whats the point if the friends option is just outright missing and the private one does basically nothing?

So I decided to publish my game.. for starters when i went to do so the "friends only" option was disabled.. so i went private as it wasnt ready for full scale release yet, i was just testing it to see how it would look in the game launcher as a whole.. so published it.. and it did show up in workshop but not on the game launcher.. so i dont know what happened.. is there something im not doing right? i used the publish button thats under the file tab in the top task bar, i set it to steam workshop.. set it to private and checkmarked the "only used items" thing.. yet no matter where i look its not in the game launcher for leadwerks.. leaving me confused as to what im supposed to do..

So ever since upgrading to the latest beta ive been unable to run games in debug or run mode, not only that but when i reverted back im still no longer able to debug or run my game.. please advise.. the game ran PERFECTLY until i tried to update to the latest beta on steam then it went completely crazy..

    I had similar problems, but now that I think of it, I can't remember the exact reason or fix. But what I remember, you need to bake material to texture and attach that texture to material in node editor. Multiple materials are not a problem, You see and can change them in Leadwerks model editor.

    Also try exporting .fbx file allthough you might want to scale it down.

    i figured it out, thanks, i had to save my materials specifically to a spot in order for it to show, it now works perfectly, thank you.

I did, heres the thing, the material isnt showing up, ive made plenty of materials on leadwerks itself, im trying to get the material/texture from blender.. and im not finding/seeing how id import it or what it is.. this is not a matter of not knowing how to work with materials or models once they are in leadwerks this is a matter of them not importing properly to start with. in addition it wouldnt work doing it with your supplied method unless theres a more refined way to go about texturing.. as my texture has multiple different materials on multiple sides in order to get all the details...

So im trying to import models i make in blender. the models come in fine i have the leadwerks importer but heres the thing, i spent alot of time making a nice metal texture and im having trouble getting leadwerks to take the material/texture i put on the model in blender. ive tried both the leadwerks exporter and the .fbx route. niether yields results, both times the model comes out but no texture. Ive tried baking using smart uv unwrap and it hasnt worked ethier. not sure what else to try really, if anyone has any ideas?

  11. So my leadwerks keeps continually crashing on the simplist task of moving around. This being said i can run the game fine, it preforms well. The crashes only happen in the editor when i go to move around. i can move around in the game like a maniac with no problem.. just editor..

  12. Welp.. 1. no.. no they were not.. I pulled up several before but there was 1-2 outright missing.. 2. the model im using was premade and i was attaching script to it as a test run, (probably where one or two issues come from thinking about it) and 3 that doesnt fix the issue of scripts not staying attached to the objects i attach them to.

  13. So when I try to run my test game I keep getting a failed to launch. Im not really sure why, ive included pictures for ease of seeing. Aswell if i set a script to a item that i made then switch to a different object, then back to the thing i attached my script to, it disappears. Several components that leadwerks came with for tutorials was also missing. (i had a friend give me the missing tutorials so i could continue with my learning.) Any help on this matter is appreciated as im really not sure what to do or say.

  14. So I tried doing tutorial number 1 of the scripting lessons. I created a script, and tried to run it after attaching it to the fan and got the following error: Failed to load model "C:/Users/Owner/Documents/Leadwerks/Projects/deletetutorial/fan_blades.mdl".

     

    I also notice the error Error: Failed to load material "C:/Users/Owner/Documents/Leadwerks/Projects/deletetutorial/fan1.mat".

    in red text when loading the map in general on the bottom output box.
