  1. Your models need to to converted to gmf format first, and then placed in the "Models" directory. Restart the Editor and your models should be in the list.

There should a fbx2gmf.exe and a dae2gmf.exe in the "Tools" directory.

Also, you will need a texture (dds) and create a material for your model.

You can try this tool for easy material creation.

OK, as understood, it's basically converting meshes to gmf format with an appropriate tool, then simply putting them into "Models" directory of Leadwerks files folder and then restarting the Editor

That's, actually, another approach, then, for example, in Unity 3D, where you import directly to the Editor

Thanks for reply, if some probs arise, I will post it on this topic thread

  2. Hallo,

it's kinda simple topic - just downloaded Leadwerks try package, but couldn't find import link (or button etc) to import models from "outside" (files as fbx, dea, etc)from my PC

Is the import option (for models and objects, textures and effects) not available till you actually purchase the engine? Or do I miss some intricate button or something to import wanted meshes? Have tried "Open" in File, but it imports just Leadwerks scene files

    Regards,
