  1. @Metatron: thank you for your suggestions, but it's more harder than that.. for me. I mean, impossible. :D can you please make a short example? or link to something already done (video). I also watched some videos from rFactor, and think that Leadwerks can only beat the graphics, but not also the car simulations. Or it could make it, but with some advanced programmers.

And the only way to see the car damaged is to pre-damage the car with hidden meshes and colision detectors.

@Richard Simpson: Thanks! I didn't search about "how to crash your own cars", but I'll probably do that soon, or in the near future. It's not fun, it's interesting that you can make accidents without killing someone in real-life.. and many other simulations. I'm trying to find out a way to use it with Leadwerks, because it's the only game engine I'm (still) interested in. If it's not possible, I'll try to find something else (car simulation). :)

It's better to do some research before you start doing some advanced stuff.

  2. Insane stuff I found out today!

Could Leadwerks 3 have something of these? It's open sourced, but I don't know what that means in "game engines/programming" language. Or it could work also with LE2, with just changing some code, so it could use LE2 graphics and Rigs of Rod's vehicle simulator. I don't know. :(

more info can be found on their website:

What do you think? it looks more realistic than what we can see in GTA4's deformation system. Or any other games. And it also looks horrible, so it will be great to scare NFS-wannabe in real-life fans, with the "see how your car could look like after...." :D

Well, the whole thing that started this was the lack of a small recognizable icon for EXEs, the website icon, etc.

    However, this might work:

+1 I think this one is the Leadwerks.. oh wait, the best*! Fits perfectly.

  4. just my two cents: lean.png as an outsider, I can say that both logos are nice, but can't decide wich one is better. The gear wheel/s is/are a "must be" in an actual/new logo IMO.

  5. @franck22000: I also think that I'm not very skilled to do such things.. but, that joker cat.. :) that's a great entry! keep them coming :P. This topic is still funny, wondering if next week is something else.

I have to say that this status-reply is one of my favorite status(&replies) seen on werkspace :D :

  6. Not a bad shot Infinit! Hope you are able to afford a full copy before too long. Look forward to seeing you in the forums.

Thank you. I will try to finish the first part of my first project (presentation) late september and then, part two, buying LE and moving all the 3D scene to it to have the "walkable" version done (project finished). The progress is slow because of personal life problems and being the single "3D artist" in the team (other two people from my team are not involved in this production part). I'm updating my signature as fast as I get more things done. :)

  7. I've got a problem with windows os that wouldn't want to start, I got it back after I formated partition C: for a fresh install.

So.. not so happy for that windows problem, but after some hours, I said: "wait.. I can have 30 days of LE again! woo!"

First time when I was fooling around in LE editor I didn't knew too much things, like.. I can save a scene and load it later :) .

I've made some minor changes to the desert highway scene, and I got this:

    th_le.png

I thought it was a nice shot..

I will probably record some footage when I will werk a little bit more on this scene. At the moment, I can't buy LE due to some problems, but no problem, LE is still the best choice for my upcoming projects. I may sound like a clown on this forum, because I only talk about my projects and I don't have anything done in LE, some unwanted problems made me put some things on hold. The first project is fully-private(70% done), and the second one will be public after I finish with the first one. Since I only model things and not programming/scripting them.. I will have some headaches, but maybe not too many, if I will recieve some help.

Until I'll present my first project and start working with LE, I wish you all to have only the wanted results in your projects! :)

  8. holy **** that model is dead on the $, I have always found rims the most interesting part about car modeling. Good Job bro..

Thanks, but those rims are totally amateur-made as almost all the car is  .

I have another car attending to free download section, but I didn't made anything new on it for a while. Has some pretty brand new Enkei's (my first well-made rim) and some custom sport-kit, for now.

Not sure if it will go free, but maybe it will be cool, somehow.

I took a very long pause from cars, and I'm working at something else, something that it will have a "walkable" version made with Leadwerks (that's why I'm here).

(knows anyone why my avatar is so large? kinda irritates me)

(Later edit: I've updated the slideshow from the download page of the Bmw. Now you can click an view the high-resolution pictures, and not the auto-resized to 1024x by photobucked)

  9. :) Hi everyone,

I'm new to posts, but "old" on this site (meaning that I'm watching the free-areas for some time)

Today I've posted my first 3D Model in the "Free Download" section, hope it will be ok with it. It's an old model of mine, created in 2009, finished on March 1 (or almnost), and it was a birthday present for me (yes, a birthday present from me to me).

I currently don't have a Leadwerks license or anything that it will call me a full member, but until I purchase it, I'm happy with the evaluation kit (some days left until is stopping, I think) and the demos from it. All of them had made me decide what to do, and I will buy it, some of my projects fit very good with Leadwerk's features (I'm not a programmer, but I hope I will don't need to torture myself for an object to have shadows, or something).

Here are some pictures of it, for anyone interested in downloading it and/or wathing the rest of the pictures, go there-> bmw 3D model is not anymore available.

Later edit: I've updated the thumbnails, now when clicking you are going to the original image (after you click it again, on photobucket) 1600x1200

2012 edit: the car is not anymore available for download.
