Failed to load start.map

Recommended Posts

I had wiped out my Documents/Leadwerks to start with fresh projects

I updated to 3.5 on Linux via Steam

I decided to walk through all the new tutorial content.

On this page:

http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/_/editor-interface-r1

Loading up the new tutorials project, I received:

Error: Failed to load map "/home/malachi/Documents/Leadwerks/Projects\Tutorials/Maps/start.map".

Checking the directory, that file is in fact missing:

-rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 68565 May 20 22:20 Scene Panel.map

-rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 51003 May 20 22:20 Prefabs.map

-rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 50526 May 20 22:20 Object Scripts.map

-rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 56437 May 20 22:20 Lights.map

-rwxrwxr-x 1 malachi malachi 51812 May 20 22:20 Editor Interface.map

Leadwerks.log is 0 bytes, so nothing to attach

I was able to move forward with the tutorial. Not sure what impact that error really has.

Not a bug: start.map is just a generally useless default that is supposed to be changed by you to whatever map your project is supposed to start with or you can chose to create a map called start.map.

You usually run tutorial maps through the editor directly anyway.

I can't actually produce this error. The project does not contain a start.map file, but perhaps some improved checking was added since this thread was created?

My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
