what are those scrollbars on the viewports?

Look really cool. Like my rocksHD or rocksMobile asset set in my store.

How does it look in closeup from ground perspective? You already applied some detailing there?

Will there be proper transparency sorting? Like glass in frot of glass or refraction doesn't look strange anymore?

Leadwerks Levels Up
in Ultra Software Company Blog
A group blog by The Ultra Software Team in General
I'm missing some plants on tabel and of course a whip on your tabel to make your furture employees work.
It seems to be a nice opportunity in US to get into business right from university. I'm missing this a bit here in Germany but also had nice people around for growing ideas.

This is cool.
You will do the models in a modular way?
And how do you plan to let the user paint floors, walls and choose a specific type of it or let users paint on the Z-Axis too. At the moment its like a Castle Wolfenstein 3D painter.

Really nice. I think we will see nice CSG levels and its so usefull for blocking scenes (as long a you can export to .obj or another external format).
-
Looks good. I recommend to apply a generic square box mapping as default.
Like a box with 1m x 1m x 1m as a default. in 80% of all hard-surface models this is a good start for mapping an generic props.
I even have a script in 3dmax which applies me such a box with a maxscript because its so often used and looking okay.
For further tweaking/tiling the tile functionality would be used.

Sync Tool = Update.exe??? Or is there something new? It's updating all 890 files at the moment.

We bought a lot of veg from Pure3D and the vegetation packs were too good. Nothing else we had matched the quality.
lol thanks. Sorry that you have to dress down the models. ;-p
I buy model collections for arch-viz renderings a lot. its very cost efficient. but like in game-dev i dont mix several manufacturer of those models. Having coherent models in style is very important forthe audience eye.

I can't assist on code but what I learned the last two years is that you can't do everything on your own. I used to try to do everything on my own too but at a certain point this is just unproductive. I COULD do high-poly trees for projects myself but its just more cost efficient if I buy a library and invest this free time in other things.
Same with outsourcing to freelancers. Before you get mad with recast hire someone if you can afford him and invest this time other LE3 work. Imagine what you can do in 6 months if you outsource this problem.

Nice update. I mostly have the overall tool in windowed mode. The viewports are on screen one and I stretched the part owith the asset browser over my second screen. It works well.

very nice. do i haveto run photoshop everytime i want to use color grading or cani do it within the editor too based on somesliders or values?

So the whole asset store is gone too?

I'm not a fan of the windows GUI look and prefer a dark theme so my eyes don't get distracted from the viewport or just get tired of the white after looking at the screen for hours.
But on the other hand its a good decision from the development point of view. Why invest time into a custom look with colors if there is also a GUI?.
I like the overall concept and drag/drop stuff and realtime monitoring of changed assets. This will save me quite some hours in a project or research stage.

MAybe something like Octane Renderer did with a paid beta model.
They get plenty of feedback on their forums plus a lot pre-license selling. On the other hand all those early-adopters wont need to buy the full priced version later. So some income will be gone I guess.

I was hoping for a more visual appealing editor and not just another windows style one...there are reasons for thousends of different windows themes out there.
-
Looks nice. Finally something to look at. Do you develop your own 3d ocean or use some already researched papers out there?

You will (hopefully) learn your whole life.
I learn new workflows, shortcuts or whatever with every project too. The point from where you do it professionally is the point where you feel confident enough to call your work professional.
I had this feeling around 2007-2008. Before that time I knew I'm doing ok but not professional.
