The striations along the sides on the middle section look like something L3DT would produce.

Nothing special about this screenshot. Was just poking around in the editor, seeing what was possible, and realized you could drag a skybox material onto a regular brush, and the results are pretty trippy. 

Can imagine some pretty neat uses for something like that.
