How to make this fog effect? (screenshots)

I know how to enable fog on map, but I don't know how to configure it right to make this dense effect. -
I found this old post, and this volumetric-like fog in last two screenshots here looks really good and atmospheric. Can anyone share the settings or method, how can I do this on my own map? Thanks in advance.
