By HaydenmangoSnow Rider is an arcade snowboarding game.
There are two gameplay modes: Time Trial and Free Roam.
In Time Trial you have 1 minute and 30 seconds to score as high as possible by doing tricks. Your score in Time Trial will be added to the Leaderboard and only the Top 5 scores will show up on the Leaderboard.
In Free Roam you have no time limit but your score is not saved. You can teleport back to the start at anytime by hitting Backspace while you aren't moving.
F1 - Toggle DrawStats (FPS and other dev things)
W - Push Forward
S - Brake
A - Turn Left
D - Turn Right
Shift - Toggle Sprint
Spacebar - Jump
A - Turn Left
D - Turn Right
Up Arrow Key - Nose Grab
Down Arrow Key - Tail Grab
Left Arrow Key - Method Grab
Right Arrow Key - Indy Grab
Enter - Shifty
Hold Spacebar down before releasing it to jump to increase your jump height.
You can Hold tricks by holding down the trick key. (doesn't apply to shifty)
You rotate/turn a lot slower when sprinting or preparing to jump.
Doing multiple tricks while in the air multiplies the score you will receive.
There is no need to hold down W to move; just hit W to start moving or to move forward faster.
Colliding with rocks and trees will hurt you if you are moving fast enough.
This game was made for the leadwerks winter tournament of 2017 in a short period of time so it is rather rough. I tested this game on 3840x2160 and 1920x1080 resolutions so those are optimal but any resolution should work fine since the mouse isn't even used. I also ran into issues with the game engine while developing this game so it currently has some bugs I can't fix until the engine itself is fixed.
Known Bug List -
Can't rotate/turn when not moving. - solution: move to turn
Character can fall through the world. - solution: exit game and start it again
Memory leak causes performance to drop after a short time - solution: exit game and start it again
Character slows down on slopes. - solution: none
Character trick animations can get stuck in a loop. - solution: none
I did have plans to add other features but they weren't finished in time for this release.
If I continue working on this project some future plans may include -
more tricks! (flips, more grab tricks)
racing mode (vs. ai characters, solo timed runs with leaderboard)
new maps (ice caves, canyons, more mountain maps)
more scenery (glaciers, billboards, snowy trees, smaller rocks, more particles, etc.)
breakable objects (billboards, glass)
unique landmarks (castles, ski lifts, unique buildings, etc.)
free cam toggle option that toggles a free spectator cam on/off for screenshots and stuff when the game is paused.

Q - Kick (knocks enemies back but doesn't do much damage)

Killing enemies restores health and stamina!
Green and Blue wisps will restore your stamina or health when you are nearby.
You can jump and charge.
There are hidden chests that don't contain keys but they will give you health and stamina.
Get Keys from Chests to open doors.
Enemy attacks can be dodged so don't stand still!
Keep your enemies in front of you so that you don't get surrounded.
Fat guys explode once they are nearby so either kick them away or run!
Pumpkin throwers don't have much health but can deal a lot of damage, target them first in battles.

Time for something a little different - an educational game! This is my entry for the February 2018 Tourney called J-Train. Here's your big chance to learn a little Japanese while playing with trains! The demo just includes one lesson for now, but I'll probably fill out the rest in time.
Controls are simple, after a short lesson/tutorial you're taken to the rail yard where you have to load shipping containers onto trains. Simply click a container and then click on an empty corresponding freight car to load it. Click the HINT button if you need to refresh your memory from the previous lesson but it'll cost you points.
The game is a bit repetitive but that's a good thing when one is trying to learn a foreign language!

HOW TO INSTALL AND RUN THE GAME:
1. Click Download to download the game
2. Extract the all the contents of the zip file into a new folder
3. Double-Click Jtrain.exe to start the game. If you get a Windows warning ('Windows protected your PC'), simply click 'More Info' and then 'Run anyway'.
NOTE: The game might not run if you don't have the OpenAL API installed on your PC. I've included a quick and easy OpenAL installer in the zip file (look for file "OpenAL_Installer"). It's common audio software that is used in many games which is usually installed automatically during the install process.
4. Click "NEW GAME" once (Do not spam click it or it might crash). The game will take a few moments to load even though its not immediately obvious.
5. Once you hear the music and see the title screen you're go to go!
The "NEXT" and "BACK" buttons on the Tutorial screen are little sticky.
Clicking on moving trains may cause the game to crash

I only had the one day to get this done so it is more of a prototype than a complete game...only 1 level I'm afraid.
WASD - Forward/Back/Left Right Q - Switch Camera 90 degree anti-clockwise E - Switch Camera 90 degree clockwise Space - Jump Instructions - Collect the 10 'Energy Spheres' - the yellow ball things(!) in the shortest time possible.
It is possible to time the jumping mechanic to do some bigger jumps and therefore shortcuts, if you can control it.

You will have to go through a series of rooms and corridors, where you will find enemies, traps, but also treasures and useful objects,
until you get to the last room where you have to pull a lever to complete the level.
The game consists of 7 levels, which are created randomly.
Accumulate as many points as possible because if you complete the level, you can use them to increase the player's features.
You can save the game when you want, load from the main menu' and play from the beginning of the level with the features previously saved.
With each save, the previous one is overwritten.

By joskI was assigned to Research Station Alpha a few months ago. Built into a hollowed out asteroid which orbits a star in a long abandoned system light years from Earth.
Why i got stationed here when my career is almost at an end is the question I have asked myself many times each day I have been here.
I go about my dutys even though the jobs are minimal and just more of the same old.
All I remember this day is that I went into a storeroom and then the room shook as the lights went out, I must have hit my head because now I have the most incredible headache which in this case is not induced by to much alcohol or to much caffiene.
The emergency lights are on so the generators must be out, thats a simpe job that I best do before the major gets on the comms.
Theres an intercom at the bottom of the stairs near the canteen, I might get some information there.
Also the canteen is where I left my access card and maybe some Tablets for my head.
I can get into the equipment locker then because I have a bad feeling I will need them.

Beware, if you stay too much in the log you will fall and the log will lose momentum
The logs use physics, so they will react to where you jump.

The object of the game is to use your Remote Controlled car to capture all the Spookemons around your beach house before your batteries are depleted. Controls are explained in game.
Almost all the furniture has physics so you can really ransack the place in the process!
Feel free to send me feedback. If there's enough interest, I might polish it a bit more and add Xbox controller support, extra levels, gameplay elements and power ups!
- You'll need a decent PC to run this due to all the assets and physics as it might not even launch on slower PCs.
